Landscape Lighting 101. Explaining Uplighting and Downlighting techniques. ------ Uplighting: is a technique where lights are placed on the ground and aimed upward to highlight features like trees, statues, or the facade of a house or building. It creates dramatic and focused lighting that accentuates textures, shapes, and structures. Downlighting: involves placing lights above the ground, such as in trees or on buildings, and pointing them downward. This mimics natural light, like moonlight, casting a gentle, widespread glow. It's used for safety on walkways and to create a subtle, ambient effect in outdoor spaces. Free estimates at 615.488.0020 #landscapelighting101 #nashvillelighting #landscapelighting #lights615

As real estate agents, we know that a picture is worth a thousand words. A bright and welcoming photo can make people excited about a property even before they set foot in it. 🔍 So how do we capture the most inviting photos with simple tricks? Let me share some quick and easy tips: ☀️ Maximize Natural Light: Whenever possible, shoot during the day. Open curtains and blinds to let sunlight flood the room. 💡 Add Warm Lighting: For darker spaces, strategically place lamps with warm light bulbs to add an inviting glow. 🎨 Light Colors & Clean Spaces: Neutral tones and tidy rooms make spaces look larger and more open. Clear clutter for a cleaner shot. 📏 Straight Lines: Make sure furniture and wall hangings are aligned to create balance and harmony in your photos. 🌿 Small Touches Matter: Add a houseplant or a splash of color with a pillow or rug to make spaces feel lived in and loved. These small changes can make a world of difference and help your listings stand out in Michigan’s busy market. What tricks do you use to make homes shine in photos? Let's share and inspire each other! 📸🌟 #RealEstate #_realestatephotography #luxuryhomes #dreamhome #architecturephotography #homeinspiration #propertyphotography #homesweethome

A top tip of the day for you - Don't let droopy cord distract from your display! It’s easy to overlook, but subtle details like ensuring you have straight cord can make a huge difference to the visual quality of your display. Here’s why: ↳ Drooping cord creates a visual distraction from your artwork or exhibit because the curve of the cord clashes with the architecture of the space it sits within, drawing the eye to it and creating a messy feel. Whereas a straight, clean line of cord visually blends into its surroundings, as the line neatly matches nearby details like skirting boards and shadow gaps which are all horizontal, straight lines. Super simple, yet makes a huge difference! 🤩 You can remove the droop either by trimming your cord and re-inserting it into one of the barrier uprights (⚠️ never knot or wrap the cord), or, if your barriers have simply gotten too close together, just moving the barriers apart (we recommend up to a 2m gap for freestanding). If you would like any advice about your barriers or displays, please do get in touch, we would love to share our wealth of knowledge with you. #curators #museumdesign #museumexperts #museumequipment
