I’ve mentioned my Co-CEO custom GPT on the podcast a few times, and we’ve got a lot of questions about what it is and if people could use it. So, in the spirit of accelerating AI literacy and transformation, I’ve decided to share all the details on a Dec. 17 webinar—"The AI-Forward CEO: Unlock the Power and Intelligence of a Co-CEO Custom GPT." Co-CEO is an experimental custom GPT I created for myself that functions as a strategic advisor tasked with helping to manage and grow the business. Co-CEO leverages GPT-4o’s deep knowledge base to provide counsel and insights across marketing, sales, customer service, product, operations, HR, finance, and legal. I trained it (with custom instructions) to perform five core functions: * Analyze Data * Execute Tasks * Solve Problems * Build Plans * Innovate It has become invaluable to me. I use it multiple times per day to think through business strategies and decisions, and I’m going to share the internal version with my team (on our ChatGPT Team license) so they can benefit from it too. While Co-CEO was originally meant for internal-use only, I’m going to release a public version (coming in December 2024) and teach other leaders how to build their own (with custom instructions specific to them and their businesses). The webinar is Dec. 17, 12 - 1 pm EST on Zoom. What You’ll Learn: * What is Co-CEO? * How does it work? * What are example use cases? * Who should use it? * How can you build your own (including a template system prompt)? Note: You will need a ChatGPT Plus, Team, or Enterprise account to create your own Co-CEO custom GPT. Who Should Attend: Co-CEO isn’t only for CEOs! Co-CEO is helpful for anyone looking to transform their business, overcome obstacles, or capitalize on new opportunities—using a CEO mindset. * CEOs and Executives: Collaborate with a trusted partner to optimize strategies, streamline operations, and drive innovation. * Founders and Entrepreneurs: Gain expert guidance to scale your business and navigate growth challenges. * Team Leaders and Managers: Enhance decision-making, improve workflows, and build a high-performing team. * Innovators and Problem-Solvers: Explore fresh perspectives and actionable solutions to reimagine your business’s potential. * AI Curious Professionals: Learn how to integrate AI effectively into your organization for measurable impact. https://lnkd.in/gJ8veE8k
This is where an open source model, set with an executive logic/decision tree, and trained on secure first-party data can be utilitarian and highly effective. Public models simply configured may present hallucinations and lack accuracy, while presenting challenges around uptime and continuity.
Ah nice! I made exactly the same type of custom GPT in December last year and it’s proven to be such a fantastic sounding board and strategy partner. I also made one to act as board members. Your post totally resonates! Will look forward to trying yours next month.
Thanks, Paul! I’ve marketed AI tech for the past 10 years that helps workers by analyzing data, automating tasks, etc. AI’s evolution to helping leaders is exciting and I’m looking forward to your insights and perspectives.

I’ll be in the front row, Paul Roetzer. Really looking forward to learning how to build a Co-CEO CustomGPT!
Excited to learn more about how a world class expert and practitioner puts AI to use every day. Thanks for organizing this Paul Roetzer.
Great stuff. Looking forward to it.

1wCurious to see how this inspires others not to just replicate, but to really challenge their own use cases and build co-pilots specific to their roles (or even to their unique approaches to being a CEO).
