Did you know that summer is one of the best seasons to perform an asphalt construction project? With warmer temperatures, asphalt sets faster and more effectively, leading to a smoother finish and longer-lasting results. The increased sunlight also helps with curing the material properly, ensuring a durable and resilient surface for your project. ☀️ #AsphaltConstruction #Concrete #ConcreteProjects

Before we start any extension projects, we have to strip the site 👇 Site stripping involves: ✔️ Removing obstacles (such as patio slabs, unnecessary soil, masonry, plants, or fencing). ✔️ Dealing with waste (such as removing and disposing of undergrowth or trees). ✔️ Arranging skip permits (so we can dispose of waste and soil from the excavation). We also often locate and mark utilities, such as electricity, gas, water and sewer pipes, and cut them off before the excavation stage of the project. Here’s a video of the lads hard at work stripping this project’s site 👉 #Construction #BuildingProject #HomeExtension #NewBuild

Ground Screws vs. Traditional Foundations: A Comparison Choosing the right foundation is crucial for the success of your construction project. Ground Screws offer distinct advantages over traditional concrete footings, and here’s why they might be the better option: Rapid Installation: Ground Screws can be installed quickly, significantly accelerating the construction process. Minimal Soil Disturbance: They preserve the surrounding environment, unlike concrete, which requires extensive excavation. Stability: Ground Screws are less likely to shift over time, ensuring a reliable foundation for your structure. Flexibility: They can be installed in various soil types and conditions, making them a versatile choice for different terrains. If you’re looking for an efficient, sustainable foundation solution, Ground Screws might be the way to go! Let’s connect and discuss how they can benefit your next project. #ConcretefreeFoundations #GroundScrew #SolarInstallation #SustainableFoundation #RenewableEnergy #GreenEnergy #QuickInstall #EcoFriendlyConstruction #SolarMounting #GroundMounting #ScrewFoundation #EarthScrew #SolarPowerSolutions #SustainableStructures #EnergyEfficient

This project illustrates a practical application of ground screw foundations where high resistance to tensile forces is required. 🔩🌞 For this project, a tent structure was required at a location where digging was not permitted. Ground screw foundations were the ideal choice for creating anchor points, essential for setting up the tent securely. This method guarantees a quick and efficient installation without the need for extensive groundworks. #groundscrews #ecobuilding #screwfoundations #construction #sustainablebuilding #firstbasegroundscrews

Why put gravel behind retaining wall? Behind every great wall lies a layer of gravel! Why is washed rock essential for drainage and stability in retaining wall construction? The primary reason drainage is essential in retaining walls is to prevent the buildup of hydrostatic pressure. When water accumulates behind a retaining wall, it creates pressure that can compromise the wall’s structural integrity, eventually leading to failure. Call us for a free consult to learn if a retaining wall will work in your outdoor space! #retainingwall #construction #hardscape #landscaping #landscapedesign

Every retaining wall is different. Some of them are curved, on a slope, and pass underneath a building. No problem! EastCoastCivilGroup.com #civilconstruction #sitedevelopment #civilcontractors
