In 2024: -January: I received the news that I achieved Pinnacle Club status for 2023. -February: I attended an exceptional Sales Kick Off in Minnesota, where I connected with a remarkable group of professionals. -March: I graduated with a Masters Degree. -April: I enjoyed an all-expenses-paid trip to Curacao as a reward for reaching Pinnacle Club status, creating unforgettable memories. -May: I Received news that the role I cherished for the past two years would be dissolved, necessitating adaptation to a new role or departure from the company. Upon hearing this news, I experienced a mix of fear and disappointment, especially after experiencing some of the most fulfilling months of my adult life. However, I refused to let this unfortunate news paralyze me. Instead, I sought clarity by asking pertinent questions and initiated discussions within my professional circles. These conversations led to valuable insights and opportunities. Though daunting, stepping into an uncertain future is a prerequisite for growth. I am determined to embrace this change and explore the new opportunities it brings.

Active Listening, Communication, Leadership etc. My advice to you? 🤝 Stop and reflect - Time can go so quick. Make sure you listen to your colleagues and be genuine. Empathy is key but also realise everyone is different... someone may need a arm around them, but someone may need that push to get going again. Finally! After a long day of workouts, I rewarded myself with a bowl of delicious Sarawak laksa. It's a small win, but it's important to celebrate every success, no matter how big or small. Celebrating keeps us motivated and helps us stay on track towards our goals. In sales, the leader's responsibility is to recognise and celebrate the team's wins, big or small. This is one of the elements to create a high-performing sales culture. The "One win means all win" mentality is required to build team cohesiveness. Doing so creates a positive and supportive work environment that fosters motivation and encourages continued success.

Sales is not an individual endeavour. It is a ‘One Rawson Team’ philosophy that helps us deliver better for our customers. Understanding and building this culture, underpinned the two-day Sales Training, workshop conducted by Andrew Guesdon. A Field Manager faces 3 important challenges. 1. Building Trust in the Team 2. Cohesive communication 3. Team bonding Building Trust in the Team -the team is on the field most of the time, so it becomes difficult to rally the team together. Cohesive communication -since the team is not co-located communication could be misinterpreted. Team bonding -knowing and understanding team members becomes a challenge. These challenges, the Field Manager can turn into opportunities. A Field Manager can do the following. 1. No field day -The Field Manager can ensure at least one no-field day so that team-building activities can be conducted. 2. Communication guidelines -The Field Manager can provide guidelines for smooth and effective communication.

Kicking Off Q3: The Power of a Exciting Summer Bonus Program for Sales Counselors Had an interesting conversation with a cemetery owner Friday who was looking for the best summer sales bonus program to motivate his team. He asked me about the most successful summer bonus contest I ever ran. I told him about a three-month contest while with SCI where the grand prize was a brand-new Chevy Camaro. Of course, he immediately said, "I can't afford a new Camaro! " To which I replied, "Neither could we, initially." That's why we set qualifying goals! The truth is, the volume of sales generated during that contest more than covered the cost of the Camaro and all the other bonuses. The excitement and drive it created among the sales team were unparalleled. The winner of that contest was Bob Alexander—many of you might recognize his name. His name was drawn from a group of top performers who all set new benchmarks with their dedication and relentless effort. With the second quarter in the books and Q3 starting today, it's the perfect time to think about how to keep your team motivated through the summer months. While a Camaro might not be feasible for everyone, there are countless other effective bonus programs out there. Back in 2023, when I rejoined in Inner Circle BD, it was kind of a dream! However the sad part was, that dream didn’t lasting for a longer period, which supposed to be technically true, who would stay asleep for a long period. When serving a very niche market tons of things needs to consider. Long story short, I wouldn’t say I achieved great success; my part was more about maintain every shareholder and the process and go through with the team, and with combined effort we achieved something. Last month, when came to know that my designation has been changed, and now I have to act as a Head of Operations, this time instead of feeling happy, I became anxious. A new responsibility, which would be tougher than earlier. Spoiler alerts, now the best part is coming. I texted my boss and told him I am not comfortable with that new designation, and what would be his suggestions to way forward. He replied me back that, remain humble and approachable to your team. Don’t shout at team members when things don’t go as per plan. Speak to them separately, identify the problem and help them to do better. That was quite surprisingly unexpected. So it’s not necessary that anyone is working in this similar service field or any other field, when you are serving as a lead, this message needs to be remembered. Perhaps that will be the motivation for you to keep working and be a better self and lead a better life!

If your team doesn't understand targets... None of this will work. Implementing effective motivational programs relies on clear target comprehension of your team. Targets must be clear. The ultimate goal isn't just about winning contests. It's about instilling lasting behavior change. This requires integrating training and recognition effectively. Good sales people are motivated by 3 things. And your frontline team ARE sales people. 1. Money 2. Competition 3. Attaboys. Understand your team. And you can use these tools to drive behavior. Understanding these motivators can drive significant behavior changes. Crafting an effective program is challenging but immensely rewarding. And I can help turn it into a results-driven engine. Many believe sales contests are outdated, but not in our professional realm. I'm always eager to win a raffle or a Starbies card whenever there's an opportunity So will our teams. If you do it right.
