This article is, obviously, not a neutral introduction to Knowledge Graphs but marketing material from a commercial vendor, Neo4J. Rather unsurprisingly when it comes to the comparison with its main alternative (RDF-based graphs), it completely ignores the many advantages of RDF and just highlights the single main advantage that property graphs have over RDF before RDF 1.2 will fix them (statements about statements). It also claims that ontologies are typically not needed, which is probably because property graphs don't offer established ontology modeling languages such as SHACL in the first place. Sadly, the RDF community has to answer why it is taking us so long before the RDF-star/triples-about-triples/reification topic is finally resolved and widely deployed. We are making it Neo4J all too easy to continue with this spiel.
