Pod squad getting together One of my favorite parts of being in the office together is hanging out after work. We have monthly team activities - it's an opportunity to do something different, have fun, and get to know each other outside of the work craziness. This time... on the menu: 🎮 Mario Kart / Super Smash Bros tourney 🥡 Ordering way too much take-out 🏓 Testing our respective ping ping skills 🎉 Celebrating Francis' birthday Fun. Laughs. Left-overs. Maxime Alexandre Amit Francis William Honorable mention to Devon, Guillaume, and Mariah who were with us in spirit 💜

Culture building in any business is always a big part setting the team dynamic. At Over Under we used to do quarterly evenings out with the team! We ended brining a tattoo artist along and over the years our team ended up getting “OU” tattoos. There are about 45 people with the tattoo to this day. I have 2 of them! Takeaways: 1. I don’t think tattoos build culture but it was fun……if not a bit “Culty” 2. I don’t know if I’ll get an …. Edify Systems .. but who knows. Would you get tattoo of your favourite coffee shop?

People often ask me what, in my mind, defines a world-class team. (‘operate as a world-class team’ is our second of only 3 pillars) Hard to describe other than “You can just tell a world-class team from a performance-neutral team. Whatever *that* is defines the difference.” So I’m always on the lookout for evidence of *that* ⬇️🎖️⬇️ #behindthescenesatSTOPWATCH

If you're starting with Notion, you definitely need to watch this video!
Decided to take the first step and get the Balanced Systems Youtube channel started with a first full-fledged video! I hope to encapsulate the vibes we give off as a team, and promote good work paired with well-delivered knowledge. Keeping it up and going surely will be a ton of work, but if not us, then who?

It's so cool to watch clients 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 put our marketing strategies to work. It means the strategies didn’t just sit in a folder somewhere collecting dust. Here’s where they make a difference: → Sales pitches: Your SDRs have sharp, clear value props tailored for each market segment. → Delivery insights: Customer interviews help you uncover the good, the bad, and the ugly of your processes -- and make them even better! → Market opportunities: You identify the gap your service fills—and validate it with real outreach. → Marketing tactics: Your SMM, content, and SEO teams now have a crystal-clear ICP to drive campaigns with purpose across channels. there’s more, but you get the idea. That’s how I helped Fireart Studio figure out where they truly shine. Their value prop? It resonates because it’s built on customer insight. P.S If you're on the lookout for a top-notch product design team, I’ve seen their work up close. They're the real deal. (Not a promo, just the truth.) P.P.S If your company’s marketing direction feels unclear and you need a strategy boost, I’ve got one spot left this year. Let’s chat.
Chief Strategy Officer at Fireart | Helping tech brands build, launch, and grow faster through design and development expertise on demand.
Communication is key. Here at Fireart Studio, we sweat the small stuff. Shout out to my team!

🏠 Laying the Foundation Before Building the Team 🏠 Rushing through a CliftonStrengths team workshop is like trying to put up the walls and roof of a house before the foundation is set. You might be eager to see the structure take shape, but if the base isn’t solid, those walls won’t stand, and the roof won’t hold up. In the same way, before we explore the Team Grid and how to work together, we must first fully understand our individual strengths. Taking the time to lay that foundation—really knowing what makes each of us strong and unique—ensures that everything we build as a team is solid, aligned, and ready to thrive. to Let’s focus on the foundations first to create something strong, lasting, and built to weather anything.

I have recently started to build my team And it is anything but easy… I have 2 people on the team right now. And the things that I am learning these days are: • Not to micro-manage them. • Over-communicate the clients’ requirements. • Set the rules very clear from the start. • Allow them room to make mistakes and learn. I am not the best at this, but I am trying :) My biggest problem was to let go of the control. But, I am doing it. Step by step:)

A team is more than just people who work together at the same time in the same place. A real team is a group of very different individuals who enjoy working together and are committed to working cohesively to help the organization achieve its common goals and fulfill its purpose. Being part of a team and feeling support from your teammates is one of the best feelings anyone can have at work. There’s power in a group of people who work together toward a shared goal. This is what genuine support is all about. Supported teams are successful teams.

Team Building or Team Bonding A lot of people make a lot of money on Team Building. Nothing wrong with that, it is the company who you are working for pay for it. There will be a lot of activities that is suppose to make your team trust each other and make them work together better. Not that bad but it is not good enough. For me, Team Bonding is better. When we bond, trust is building up. The team get to know each other better. Having a BBQ and a bottle of beer in hand and just simply having a good time with the team. Gradually, the team is no longer a group of colleagues but will become a group of friends. Friends that bonded will support each other specially when times are so bad. Will you spend on Team Building or will you spend it on Team Bonding? The choice is yours.

Unity and understanding are the most important things needed when working as a team. This will make teamwork faster and foster team spirit. Everyone on the team has one goal, so everyone is working together, understanding each other, and their interests. Team members should not be friends (in the sense of two friends on the same team). There should be two different people who don't know each other so they can work effectively and give their best for the team and find a solution to the problem. After completing the task or solving the problem, they will get to know each other, will further help in working together, developing good relationships, and maintaining the team as a family. So common goals can bring them together in essence of time

A collective gift can allow individual team members to express a bond they have with one another and build relationships within the team 🎁 𝘉𝘜𝘛 – What if you don't want to chip in for that gift? Whatever the reason may be, we 𝘏𝘈𝘝𝘌 the right to decline. You may be tight on cash, or the purchase in discussion may be exorbitant (too much for a colleague or superior). You can share your thoughts or reasons with the team and offer to chip in a smaller amount or even opt to purchase a separate gift altogether. Besides pricey gifts, there are also other ways to show your appreciation. Don't feel obligated to chip in just because someone asked!
