🌍 Equity. Whole-Person Health. Technology That Leaves No One Behind. Digital health is more than just a tool—it’s a pathway to achieving Universal Health Coverage (#UHC) and fostering resilient, adaptive health systems in the face of global challenges like climate shocks. health.enabled, we are committed to ensuring that technology works for the people, not the other way around. 📖 The USAID Position Paper on #DigitalHealth, brilliantly summarized by Joy Kamunyori, PMP, underscores critical strategies to achieve this vision. Here are key insights from thought leaders driving this movement forward: #Leadership and #Trust Jean Philbert Nsengimana (FAPH, MPA, MBA, PMP, MSc) (Africa CDC) emphasized the necessity of government-led efforts and building trust in data use. Communities must believe that their data will be used responsibly, with privacy and security at the core. Equally important is the promotion of homegrown solutions that resonate with local needs and contexts. #Impact through Alignment To meet the ambitious target of reaching 1.5 billion people with UHC, we must align technology to support care networks as shared by Matt Hulse (The World Bank) in a way that is facilitated through global and national architecture and capacity-building for effective ecosystems. #Standards for #Equity Natschja (Nat) R. (World Health Organization) provided a great overview on the #SMARTGuidelines initiative as a strategy to strengthen healthcare delivery by supporting point-of-care services that enable person-centered care. This ensures data generation serves decision-making—not the other way around. Equity and Intentionality Smisha Agarwal from the The Center for Global Digital Health Innovation powerfully reminds us that health—not technology—is the goal. A gender-intentional, equity-driven, and people-centered approach ensures no one is left behind. Digital health must engage directly with clients, keeping individuals at the heart of the system. Sustainability and Honesty Last but not least, Steven Wanyee (HELINA) called for honest conversations with the private sector about costs, sustainability, and profitability, putting problems at the center of the conversation to co-create solutions that are both impactful and sustainable.✨ #DigitalHealth #Equity #UniversalHealthCoverage #ClimateResilience #InnovationForImpact #HealthEnabled
Well said! We need to put the problems at the center of the conversation and have a honest one.

2wThank you Patty Mechael ! For me a profound reminder from Smisha Agarwal Health is the goal- not technology . Health is about people - have people at the centre!! Tech is there to enable that - not the goal in of itself . Working in the Digital Health space with multiple role players - and my lens being that of a physician- these points are powerful reminders of what we are trying to do in health - let's not get distracted.
