What a week! I had the pleasure of organizing our first, in-person Product Management Summit between the German HQ and our US subsidiary. It was a week full of gaining knowledge through invaluable discussions. In such a digital world, where it is more possible than ever to meet virtually, it is just as valuable to meet in person. The goal of this visit was to train and extensively discuss specific topics related to product management. Some important topics during the visit included gaining an understanding of product management itself, workflow methods, strategy, and market insights. We also worked towards enhancing our international collaboration and communication. In addition to the business topics, it was important to work towards deepening our international partnership: to get to know each other better on a personal level in order to work as ONE team in the future. We understand that Schmalz Germany and our colleagues in the US, independent of them being in a subsidiary, are ONE team and will strive to act like this even more in the future. Outside of the office, we also spent plenty of time together to strengthen our interpersonal relationships. We went sightseeing in Stuttgart, attended the Cannstatter Volksfest, had many dinners, and used the weekends to hike or visit Strasbourg. Thanks to Schmalz USA and Schmalz to make this happen!
