Yesterday, we visited the *Katalemwa Cheshire Home for Rehabilitation Services*, a place that gives Children with various disabilities a chance at living dignified and productive lives, and it was great to realize that parents and their children, even with everything they are going through, are able to still have a smile on their faces and appreciate life. Doing this kind of charitable work: 1. Fosters empathy and compassion: Assisting those in need encourages understanding and kindness. 2. Builds stronger communities: Lending a hand strengthens social bonds and promotes unity. 3. Inspires positive change: Helping others sets an example, encouraging others to do the same. 4. Fosters personal growth: Giving back provides new perspectives, skills, and a sense of purpose. 5. Builds social responsibility: Sharing resources acknowledges our interconnectedness. 6. Improves mental and physical health: Assisting others has been linked to reduced stress and increased well-being. 7. Encourages gratitude: Focusing on others' needs helps appreciate our own blessings. 8. Promotes equality: Supporting marginalized or disadvantaged groups fights social injustice. 9. Shows moral obligation: Many believe helping those in need is a fundamental human duty. Helping the needy creates a ripple effect of kindness, benefiting individuals, communities, and society as a whole. #KatalemwaChesireHomeforRehabilitationServices# #ShreeSahajanandSchoolUganda

Following the closure of Autism Tasmania, a significant gap has emerged in the support and advocacy available for Autistic individuals and their families in our state. This is especially concerning in the current state of the disability sector, with multiple major reforms posing to change the lives of Autistic people. To address this urgent need, the unfunded Regional Autistic Engagement Network (RAEN) is stepping up to provide the necessary peer support and advocacy for Autistic people, their families and carers in Tasmania. However, to do so effectively, RAEN needs your help. We are launching a GoFundMe campaign to raise $10,000 to cover essential startup costs and help ensure that resources are in place to apply and advocate for more ongoing and sustianable funding. Please help if you can by donating to the GoFundMe fundraiser here: https://lnkd.in/g-UVHq78 All donations, no matter how big or small, are very welcome. #AutismTasmania #DisabilityRights #DPO #NDIS #DRC #NationalAutismStrategy Reframing Autism Amaze Jenny Karavolos Charl Fourie [Image: yellow background with illustration of 9 people standing in a circle on the left. Continuing our spotlight on the #BucklandReview, we have the 8th recommendation to companies: "8. Work with autism charities and other relevant groups to ensure autistic people know about Access to Work and the support it can provide to meet their individual recruitment and employment needs. Continue to improve the Access to Work programme: if the Adjustment Passport and Access to Work Plus pilots produce positive results, these should be rolled out nationally as soon as possible." For more information on Access to Work click here: https://lnkd.in/dyHE6yQ A government incentive put in place to help disabled people into work, and to remain in work. Getting behind this initiative is key to sustainable employment for our cherished disabled communities. At #AutimaticUK we are always here to answer any questions and support companies that are looking into this important step in #autismemployment. Little Eden is a non-profit organization and PBO dedicated to providing lifelong care for 300 individuals with profound intellectual disabilities across two facilities: Domitilla and Danny Hyams Home in Edenvale, and Elvira Rota Village in Bapsfontein. The organization upholds the belief that every person, regardless of the severity of their disability, is a complete being with a body, mind, spirit, and soul. Little Eden emphasizes the valuable lessons that can be learned from those with profound disabilities, such as the strength of the human spirit and the joy found in simple achievements. While the average physical age of residents is 27, intellectually, most are comparable to a one-year-old, with some functioning at a newborn level requiring extensive care. Residents are grouped by ability and behavior to ensure they are comfortable and safe, including those who also face mental illnesses, disturbed behavior, and multiple physical disabilities. ▶️ Learn more about Little Eden :Visit www.littleeden.org.za 🔵www.detectunit.co.za ➡email us on ✉[email protected] or call us on 📞0105348820 or 0114534115 👍Like, share and Follow us #inspectionservices #detectunitinspection #ndt #nondestructivetesting
