This year, we participated in the first test case of KY Senate Bill 4—a 2023 law designed to make it harder for utilities to close coal-fired power plants. We supported LG&E/KU’s case before the Kentucky Public Service Commission to retire four aging coal units, and the PSC approved closing two of them. They also approved a major solar buildout and expanded energy efficiency programs. 👏 Your support during the GoodGiving Challenge helps us continue to push for clean energy progress, even against tough obstacles: bit.ly/KRCGoodGiving24

Be an Informed Energy Voter API’s message to voters around the country is to be discerning – weigh candidates at the local, state, federal and presidential levels against their commitment to sound policy that supports affordable, reliable energy from oil and natural gas. Both are integral to the nation’s security, economic growth and Americans’ individual prosperity. Voters would be wise to be wary – campaign rhetoric can have a short shelf life. https://lnkd.in/g4M43pu2
