Today is my last day at TripleLift, which has been an extraordinary adventure and truly career-defining for me. And I'm excited to share my new chapter in just a few weeks! But before leaving I wanted to flag some things I'm especially proud of, which I think reflect both TripleLift's and my shared values, especially my favorite (win as a team!): 💫 My direct reports. I won’t tag them because I already feel a bit like an embarrassing stage mom, but I am so proud of the people I have managed and how much they taught me about how to be a better manager, a better product marketer, a better TripleLifter. On days when I doubted myself, I knew at least I was doing one thing right if my directs were growing and thriving (but most of that, of course, is really about them and not me). Thank you. You know who you are! 💫 TripleLift Audiences. Bringing this product to life with a team of other expert product marketers, product managers, and revenue stakeholders was so exciting! I believe in a better world for advertising, where consumer experiences and privacy matters. And I’m proud to work on a product that aligned with my values. How often do we get to say that? 💫 Being a co-lead of the Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) employee resource group. I spent two years as co-lead on this, inaugurating a more formal ERG at work, and love witnessing the evolving leadership with WIN's current leaders and members. There is nothing like an ERG to shift the culture and provide support to members and allies. I have never been quiet about my feminism (intersectional or bust, friends!), and I thought there wouldn’t be a place to put my values at work. WIN – and the other amazing ERGs at TripleLift – has made it possible to be an advocate and a leader in culture. Keep fighting the good fight! Thanks, TripleLift. On to the next!

Celebrating 20 years at Beedie, Managing Partner of Residential Development Rob Fiorvento has played a major role in our growth, helping create and manage Beedie Living while inspiring young professionals who join our team.   To mark this milestone, we asked Rob to share a few words about his work, his career, and his outlook.   𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐞 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲?   The close relationship and trust with Ryan and Keith Beedie was key. Ryan was even the best man at my wedding. Deep down, I think Ryan and I always knew we’d work together, as we share the same goals, beliefs, and competitive drive—neither one of us plays for a tie.   Beedie’s incredible legacy and reputation for integrity, honesty, and excellence were major inspirations. The company’s market leadership and commitment to innovation make it a place I’m proud to be a part of. Beedie’s focus on setting industry standards, while prioritizing people before profits, further reinforced my decision.   𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝟓 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨?   We made a wholesale operational change about 5 years ago in our Beedie Living division. The creation of pillars within the team has empowered respected leaders with greater autonomy and authority while increasing accountability. This approach led to more strategic and efficient operations. The focus on hiring the best in class has been instrumental, often likened to "trading up" in hockey to build the best talent needed to reach the playoffs. 5 years ago we didn't have a single registered architect on staff; today we have 6, giving us an unparalleled competitive advantage.   𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐝 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝?   Prioritize building lasting relationships and upholding a strong reputation. Hard work and respect for others is crucial. Leave your ego behind, give credit where it’s deserved, and always be honest. Finally, remember to celebrate the wins.

I don't know about you, but the best work environments I've worked in were teams that won together, but still celebrated individual success. how do you win together when everyone has individual quotas? 1. contests, spiffs, and company bonuses based on total performance. could be a simple "the team gets x amount of sales qualified meetings this week, the whole team earns a summer Friday. 2. creating incentives for sharing best practices However you can't fail to celebrate individual successes either. examples: top performer for a team contest gets a standalone prize announcements when someone hits quota, or closes a big deal. extra highlights when someone creates a training that directly increases team performance. what are your examples of building the team environment, while celebrating the individual?

🌟 I am honored to work alongside some great people who are passionate about helping others and making a difference in the community. For the past several weeks, our sales and marketing team at ShareSTAFF has been strategizing and planning our first company-wide initiative. This initiative was collaborative and fun and added some friendly competition between the teams, but it resulted in massive success. I did want to give a special shout-out to some remarkable players from our two-day event who went above and beyond to ensure that we were successful by 124% of the completion goal that we were initially aiming for. 🚀 ⭐ Chauncy Fifer - You led one of the teams, and I appreciated your thoroughness and dedication to gathering information. This led to the implementation of several proposals for our services. Your feedback has enabled our team to develop and work together at each event. ⭐ Selena N. -You made the impossible happen by ensuring that our target market was organized and that we had administrative support throughout the entire process. You even took the initiative to speak directly with customers in person, going above and beyond to make it happen. ⭐ Tee Alarcon - Your creativity and innovation brought some incredible ideas for promoting our brand through the goodie bags you prepared for our clients. The bags included a fun message and our contact information. We appreciate your participation in yesterday's event and your contributions to the conversations that took place. 📢 I wanted to express my gratitude to our branch operations team (Monserrat Bautista, and ALFREDO CALZADA) for participating in our event. They were not only attentive listeners but also actively engaged in conversations with representatives from different companies. It takes a special kind of person to adapt quickly to change, and I must say that our recruiting team did a phenomenal job by staying engaged and effectively presenting the recruitment and onboarding process to our potential clients. We all play a critical role in the success of a company and initiative, and I am happy to be doing this alongside all of you. Why is there a bagel on your LinkedIn feed? Let me explain. Expanding on yesterday's topic of trust in leadership, Bagels represent trust in a meaningful way with my SoCal Removery team, and are actually our longest running inside joke. I started with Removery as a Lead Sales consultant at our San Diego - Kearny Mesa studio, back when we had 44 locations (now up to 150!!!) I was brought on as part of an acquisition that got us our first West Coast representation. Since then, We've developed the Western Division into a powerhouse! In the early days, we had a contest and a number of us OG's won bagels and coffee. Management failed to deliver on the bagel promise, and although it wasn't the biggest deal in the world, the field team enjoyed throwing some playful shade in the form of bagel memes and GIF's. I remember crying laughing in the studio chatting amongst my peers on teams. This was ongoing, and something we would all callback to often when we needed some comedic relief in the system. Fast forward about 9 months. I had just finished onboarding for my new role as Regional Manager. Do you know what I did on my first day? I sent every single person on my team bagels. It was a symbolic turning of the page. I wanted to set the tone that their leadership would look different moving forward. I wanted to start building a foundation of trust. Sometimes it's the little things that have the most meaningful impact. Being thoughtful matters. Being kind matters. Modeling team dynamic at the highest level matters. Following through matters! And before everyone asks, it's an angry everything bagel with habanero schmear. Special thanks to Kara Devereux for approving the cost! We make the employee recognition service, so we better be the best at it ourselves. And yes, we’re nailing it. Let me tell you my personal story (btw, hi 🖐, I’m Robin Byun, Head of Product at Bondly, author of this Startup Diaries!). I believe in our company’s vision more than anyone else, but honestly, there were times when I felt overwhelmed.
