This whole brouhaha over whether Elon is the rocket man or the devil incarnate is because of EITHER/OR thinking. The truth is, he is BOTH pushing the boundaries of technology like no one else in the world today AND uses his platform to push conspiracy theories and support (who I consider) horrible people. These two aspects are orthogonal. Every person is multidimensional and one quality doesn't necessarily beget another or oblige one to it. So you can decide which aspect you care about and celebrate or vilify him, or you can step back and accept that he's both. Or you can just ignore him and focus on your life.
Agreed, regardless of the topic I cannot contend with the extreme either/or way of thinking. The answer usually lies somewhere in the middle

In all seriousness though...I fully agree with you but unfortunately too many will not be able to see this duality and just accept it or ignore it and focus on their own lives. Human brains don't like things to be gray. They want things to be either A or B.
