🪞 This is your sign to believe in yourself! One of my favorite parts of hosting the Maritime SheEO Conference is the award ceremony! And it might be everyone's favorite too! 🏆 We always see entries pouring in from all over the world. Some nominate themselves, some nominate their peers. What we love the most, however, is when people nominate themselves. The struggle of imposter syndrome is real, where women don't feel qualified enough to apply for an award 🥇 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸: You can nominate yourselves! Self-nomination is a sign of CONFIDENCE and not ENTITLEMENT ✅ And while at The Maritime SheEO Awards, we've seen many applications by women, I'm wondering if we can see double the amount of responses this year when we give women (and ourselves) the permission to go for it. This isn't about winning or losing, this is about believing in yourself. 🤗 In the spirit of transparency, as of now, we have only received 20 nominations from women. We received 80 last year. When the AEI team comes together, it’s never just another meeting. On 14th September, we reflected, recharged, and mapped out the final quarter of the year, all while growing together as a team. We explored the future of our initiatives; SkillUp, ReadUp, and Motivate and Equip, asking ourselves: how can we make a bigger impact?
