If disappointment were a color 🙃
Um... yea no. We all thought it, we all see what it looks like and mousse is not what comes to mind.
It’s finally our year!! We see this color every day 😂 Thank's Pantone.
I say it matches the year we are about to have.
Pantone, I absolutely love the color—it’s stunning! In fact, I selected it for our silk collection four months ago. However, for this shade to truly shine, it needs a shimmer; otherwise, it risks washing out lighter skin tones. After reading Chromophobia and exploring the history and cultural implications of color in the U.S., it’s clear how deeply rooted biases still influence color selection and perception. I strongly encourage the Pantone team to examine the diversity of their team, as it directly impacts how these color choices are made and the perspectives they reflect. Diversity matters, even in color choices!
There are no “bad” or “good” colors - there are only good and bad combinations of colors.
As soon as the Pantone is announced each year we see an increase in this color garment and color ink being used for decoration orders. It's fun to watch the trends change!
Love you so so very much Pantone, but would've loved to see you fully embrace the red hue that is trapped inside of that mousse, instead of retreating to a safe, 2015 Yeezy brown. Great color but doesn't seem to match the moment! Maybe y'all were wanting nostalgia, and some of us are wanting something novel? We can't go back to pre-Covid. We must move forward!
Just in time for The North Face and Skims collaboration:) https://www.linkedin.com/posts/yana-bushmeleva-a5983647_new-day-new-collaboration-the-north-face-activity-7270444921487048704-5iEh?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_ios
