3 ways to generate publicity without spending a kobo From this outset, just come along. Let’s agree that public relations is not rocket science. No, it’s not. You only need a marketing communications degree to professionalise it and maybe pursue it as a career. PR – not a rocket science? How? Why? Yes. PR isn’t such a chore! In the crudest form, everyone does PR for himself every day. Or what do you call the reality that you live all the days of your life, trying to make yourself or the people you care about look good before others. Many times too, you do these things without spending a kobo. Or how much (in monetary terms) has it really cost you, persuading a friend that another friend of yours is not as mean as perceived? No not a kobo. Right? Oh well, this is how best we can accept PR here. This is actually what it is, anyway. By the same token, if you are a perception manager or any other office you go by, there is always a way or two you can generate publicity without spending a kobo. That’s right. There’s always a way! Publicists & PR Agencies that unethically source email addresses just to message any and everyone with a following: Are doing their clients a disservice while wasting their time & money! I delete and unsubscribe myself from HUNDREDS of PR emails a MONTH! Admittedly, I generally don't keep up with the happenings in the world of PR. I don't read "industry" stories, etc. I tend to just stay in my own lane and focus on what's working and what's not. However, I just checked out this list from Pitchcraft™ and was stoked to see so many things listed that I preach to my clients on a daily basis. The PR industry is evolving.
