The 1972 film Silent Running should have been the ultimate Earth Day sci-fi movie, portraying realistic robots entrusted with saving the world’s remaining trees transplanted to space orbitals. Instead, it became the inspiration for Mystery Science Theater 3K. However, Silent Running remains essential viewing for robotics enthusiasts due to its accurate depiction of robotics. While suitable for the whole family, younger viewers and those less interested in science fiction may find it less engaging. Hugging Face leRobot allows you to load pretrained policies just like you would with other models from the Hugging Face repository.
