In an "era" of OPEN ear audio..., is Apple in the right path trying to mimick reality avoiding the real world as it is? I'm referring to 🍏 Vision Pro and the concept product it is pretending to be. In my opinion, this situation becomes an opportunity for other industry leaders to explore "products" out of that mindset. #samsung #google #spotify #amazon #oppo even #microsoft should be aware and I think I have shaped product strategies around this reasoning. I'm open to explore this issue further with the company that dares to believe in my "out" of the box/industry mindset. Skill needed: people who can prompt engineer others around them to think and risk to be different. Scaled tech is going to lead to a conformity problem that makes the Apple 1984 ad look like reality. The tools we use are great at content. Terrible with context. That’s the gap that needs to be filled the next 3-5 years and unfortunately it’s not there in most places because we’re overindexing on the hard skills in place of the soft ones. Iceberg ahead.

Lessons from Failure: How Google Glass Missed the Mark 📉 Even the most innovative products can fail. Case in point: Google Glass. Why did such a revolutionary product flop? The answer lies in Persona Strategy. Google misunderstood its customer personas—failing to address concerns about privacy, usability, and everyday integration. In my latest essay, I explore how companies like Netflix and Amazon avoided these mistakes by focusing deeply on customer and internal personas throughout their development cycles. 🔥 What can you learn from Google’s mistake? • Understanding your customer’s emotional and functional needs is key to driving product adoption. • Use frameworks like Customer Journey Mapping to ensure you’re solving the right problems. 👇 Read the full essay here to learn how to avoid these pitfalls in your own transformation efforts. https://lnkd.in/ghGM-sKq ____________________ I write about Risk, Strategy, Transformation, Mindful Leadership, and Uncertainty. Every person makes mistakes, which are opportunities to learn and grow in the field of technology. If you succeed on your first try, you will not truly appreciate the taste of success or take the time to analyse your failures. Did you know that even tech giants like Apple and Google have had their fair share of unsuccessful product launches? When we make a mistake, we need to step forward by accepting the failure or mistake..There is no need to feel ashamed about it, when we learn and rectify our mistakes by not repeating it!

Google Glass, Juicero, Microsoft Zune, Crystal Pepsi, and Amazon Fire Phone all share one common flaw: They failed to truly understand what users wanted. → Google Glass misjudged price point, aesthetics, and privacy concerns. → Juicero? A $700 juicer that wasn’t needed. → Zune ignored the importance of user experience and brand, → Crystal Pepsi defied consumer expectations and came off as a confusing gimmick, → Fire Phone pushed Amazon’s agenda over users’ needs. The takeaway? To solve problems in the market, you have to go out and engage with your users early and often. After all, you’re building for them, not for yourself. Come up with an opinionated view of their underserved needs, not your desires for them. Test, iterate, and let real-world feedback guide your decisions about how to execute this vision. The market is always the best teacher.

Didn't expect this, but very curious to see the shakeout. https://lnkd.in/gaKeYMPy Really hope that either: 1. Apple develops their own search engine, finally diversifying the search landscape. 2. A generative search disrupter emerges and gains enough market share. Unsure how "monetizable" it will be to advertisers, but that's part of the exciting future of possibilities. Will be interesting given search represents +50% of Alphabet's revenue.

You’ve probably heard of the FANG stocks. 📈💻🔍 They're the powerhouse quartet of Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Google that dominated the market in the 2010s. But as tech evolved, so did their acronym! With Apple's inclusion, they became FAANG. Later, Microsoft joined the lineup, transforming it into FAAMG or MAMAA.
