My recent difficulty in dealing with changing my mentality:- Traditionally (for our handloom business) my wife has been the one dealing with weavers and the technical part of the production process and I've been into hardcore sales. In fact, I always consider myself the salesman of our business. Meeting customers, discussing their problems, understanding their needs, etc. has always been my ways of actually achieving nothing but sales. "Dhanda kitna hua, aur iss mahina maal jeb main kitna aya"- has been my only priority. But recently it's become a task in itself for me to change this salesman mentality of mine and act like a business owner. The urge to make sales with the money we have, instead of focusing on using that money to build a business by putting in some systems/ models (sacrificing sales at times) is the most difficult thing for me to conquer. Yet I'm trying. I know it might take me a while, but when you got a wife who's your business partner, things become a little less painful.

One of the biggest hurdles I see with my clients? Getting stuck in Follow-Up Land (and trust me, it's no theme park). They have a great conversation, maybe even send a proposal, but then… nothing. Why? Usually, the follow-up wasn't clear, and things got lost in limbo. To close sales faster, you need to get two things from every conversation: 1. Does my customer know the next step to move forward? 2. Do I know if they'll take that step? If so, when? (Date & time) If not, why? Without these answers, you and your customer will be lost—and no one has time for that. ⏳ Quick task: Check your current sales opportunities. Do you know the answers to these questions? Close More Sales On Inspection: ✅Prequalify, stop using so much "sell" tactics, and instead interview your customers prior to inspection  ✅ Schedule Same day or Next Day - Offer two three options that the customer can choose from for the meeting ✅ stop having separate contracts, and estimates. A contract can serve as the official estimate, be signed, dated, and paid. You want to reduce the time it takes, and avoid at all costs, having unopened emails sitting for multiple days . ✅ Have checklists: your roof inspections will be more professional with checklists that you walk the customer through on the ground, for specific things you've inspected, and what the results are.
