Infrastructure as code is dead, and the suspect is System Initiative! I wrote about my experience using System Initiative to manage Oxide Computer Company resources. https://lnkd.in/eFzmqnrY

Hey Mathew, I really like what Adam’s trying to sell, but I don’t see how that’s not IaC with just yet another language, how do you DR? How do I backup my infra and rebuild incase of failure. The tool and language itself pretty irrelevant, the processes that make it usable, adoptable, and scalable matter. Be interested in your thoughts on those subjects as so far there appears to be nothing to provide that confidence

Interesting, this reminds me of Canonical Juju a bit. I don't want to go against your flow or words since you're already declared something dead. But such strong statement needs to settle a bit to be taken in to account. It's good to have always more options, including the ones are more flow oriented for sure.

Ok, IaC is not dead 😉. But that's a good step in the direction of noCode compostable infrastructure. Sounds promising! Tks for posting.

Systems Initiative demos are a breath of fresh air. Not ready for production, but I wish it were.
