📊 Progress in Engaging Employers for Skills Development! 🌟 We're proud to share the impactful progress made by the Berkshire Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) in just nine months! Since 2023, LSIP has involved a wide range of employers in a meaningful way, creating strong partnerships for local workforce development. ✅ 16 Employer Champions are leading workforce initiatives. ✅ 120 Employers are actively engaged in developing solutions. ✅ 1,200 Employer Engagements have contributed to priority actions. ✅ 28,795 Employers are connected through workshops and communications, with 51% being SMEs! This highlights an urgent need for proactive measures in skills development. Partnering with Offploy and St Giles Trust, the programme addresses employment barriers and promotes inclusive recruitment, benefiting both mentees and mentors while tackling reoffending costs. 🔵 Mental health training for line managers linked to better business performance, says new study Research from the University of Nottingham mental health training for line managers boosts business performance, enhancing staff recruitment, retention, and customer service, while reducing long-term mental health sickness absence. This training could save companies millions in lost sick days annually, strengthening the case for investing in employee mental health.
