Last week, Steven Bartlett announced he has invested in a recruitment business stating, "Recruitment is clearly broken! So I’m now investing in the recruitment industry to try and fix it!" The fix? Chapter 2 is a disruptive recruitment tech and talent agency that builds and designs scalable talent solutions... Combining the pace and flexibility of an agency with the cultural understanding of an in-house team. ie. RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) which has been around for a long, long time and is something I had actually spoken to a Client about last week. So nothing new there. What may change though? Perception. Having the backing of a Dragon 🔥 will certainly increase Chapter 2's reach and I've no doubt bring more business as those who want to be associated with SB will likely flock. However if we really want to fix recruitment, let's start with removing the phrase, "Just send me some CV's" from Hiring Managers' vocabulary, please!
