This edition was yet another success for TIMUN TBS, addressing crucial issues such as the impact of carbon emissions on climate change and the global debt burden. The young diplomats excelled in their debates and showcased remarkable critical thinking skills. Our final project, 𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗡 𝟮.𝟬, was the perfect culmination of our mandate. This 30-hour hackathon/MUN crisis committee provided our esteemed delegates with the unique opportunity to strategize and plot hypothetical wars against each other's nations and kingdoms. Throughout these two projects, I enjoyed working closely with the External Relations team to secure funding and finance our initiatives. This was both challenging and rewarding, and it strengthened my skills in negotiation and partnership establishment. As our mandate ends, I am beyond grateful for the invaluable experience I gained and the extensive network I built through TIMUN. This year will always stand out as one of the most important milestones in my life. Best of luck to the next elected board! I can't wait to see the amazing things you will accomplish. #TIMUN #ModelWTO #MUNATHON #Diplomacy #ClimateChange #GlobalDebt #YouthLeadership #ProfessionalGrowth #VicePresident #ExternalRelations #CriticalThinking #MandateEnd #Milestones

When I talk about the AfCFTA, African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat , I always understand how sustainable this is for our future generation. Most young people underestimate the power of the AfCFTA, but imagine having access to a market of over 1.3 billion people, which can drive massive economic growth and job creation. It’s not just about trade; it’s about creating opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship, and education. By lowering barriers, the AfCFTA will allow us to industrialize, diversify our economies, and ensure sustainable development. We need to realize that this is our chance to build a unified, prosperous Africa, where our generation and those to come can thrive. Our role model has been emphasizing this day & nights 👌

A summar of my article(Annahar, 27th of February, 2024) in English: The fourth industrial revolution is shaping our life as well as our institutional framework. We, as Lebanese, must strive to preserve what remains of our families, our social fabric, and our social intelligence, which provide us with a competitive edge in a hostile world. Moreover, we must work to ensure the quality of our universities, which generated the best human resources needed by local, regional, and international markets. We should aim to transform these educational institutions into incubators for creative individuals, essential for fostering the economies of the twenty-first century. Our sectarian and tribal conflicts will not benefit us; instead, they will erode our mission as people and make us more vulnerable to geopolitical shocks.

In a unique twist on traditional assessments, our students embraced creativity and cultural diversity by representing nations of their choice, dressed in vibrant attire. The energy was electric as they engaged in extempore debates on crucial global topics like China’s foreign policy, US foreign policy, climate change and global terrorism. This wasn't just a test—it was an exciting exchange of ideas, diplomacy and critical thinking, all while celebrating the beauty of different cultures. 🔆 Higher educational institutions (HEIs) emphasise internationalisation to address global challenges and meet evolving demands, requiring a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of international relations. The pandemic accelerated online learning, highlighting the need to explore how HEIs can enhance international activities, especially in non-Western contexts. A comprehensive framework for HEI internationalisation includes six dimensions: student mobility, academic programs, faculty, research, international ventures, and other areas like accreditation and digital transformation. In the latest issue of Global Focus Magazine, Beatrice Avolio Alecchi and Jorge Benzaquen de Las Casas of CENTRUM PUCP, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, outline how HEIs can strategically leverage these dimensions and facilitators to effectively enhance their global presence. 📙Learn more: ╰┈➤bit.ly/GF-Strategies Matthew Wood #EFMDGlobalFocus #internationalisation #HEIs

Hey LinkedIn Family! I hope you all are doing well. This is the Nature's Advocate, reporting all the way live from Pakistan. Last week at this platform, I along with my team decided to launch our first educational module. Four months ago, we from various backgrounds, i.e.; medicine, policy making, anthropology, engineering, research, and environmental sciences got united. We got in loop under the banner of FXB International, for FXB Climate Advocates Program Spring Cohort 2024. We had a vision to tackle the problem of climate illiteracy. We thought of making a educational toolkit. Today May 17, we are about to launch our project "Climate Educational Toolkit 2024." This toolkit will bridge the gap between the global North and the global South. Keeping to make this a self-paced learning tool, we tried to keep it simple. It is just the start! It is my honor to tell you all that RE-AD is the official community partner for this educational toolkit in Pakistan. I and my team members would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to FXB International, FXB USA and Ms. Karina L. Weinstein, for facilitating us on this four months journey. Moreover, I would like to draw the attention of United Nations, UNESCO, UN Women, COP29 Azerbaijan, António Guterres on the issue of climate illiteracy. Let's join the hands for a greater and noble cause. P.S: FXB USA collected 10 herbs and spices from different parts of the world for a remarkable cuisine. I assure you, the main course will be the best thing, that you will love. Regards, Your friendly neighborhood scientist.
