Live from NIQ Founders Pitch Slam - Brazil! Introducing finalist #4: Solo Snacks "We develop SNACKS from grains, fruits and vegetables. Far beyond flavor and texture, we are concerned with one of Brazil's main production pains and challenges, which is waste. Our flagship line - FRUTA POCKET, has a social cause in which we fight the waste of fruit in the country, because those 'imperfect' fruits that are often rejected by retailers and largely discarded, gain prominence and have a 2-year shelf life with the use of our technology." And now, the FINAL PITCH BEGINS!! #NIQFoundersPitchSlam #Innovation

Wrapping up a dynamic week at New York Climate Week, Dario Soto Abril facilitated an inspiring panel discussion on ‘Pioneering Innovations in Sustainable Food and Fashion’, hosted by Clim-Eat, Columbia Climate School, and Barnard College #Food and #fashion are two of the most impactful global industries, shaping not just our lifestyles but also our environment and society. Yet, both face immense challenges regarding sustainability. The fashion industry is under fire for its environmental impact—textile waste, pollution, and labour ethics. Similarly, the food sector is scrutinised for deforestation, greenhouse gas emissions, and food waste. As the interconnectedness of these challenges becomes clearer, so does the need for cross-sector collaboration. Dario remarked, “This event provided a unique platform for dialogue and innovation, uniting thought leaders and experts from both industries, as well as entrepreneurs, politicians, academics, and the next generation, all eager to tackle challenges and seize opportunities in sustainability.” #ClimateWeekNYC #Innovation #ClimateAction #CollaborativeSolutions
In an intimate closing during Forward Food & Fashion’s innovation panel, Dario Soto Abril asked the panellists to share the failures that brought them to where they are today. The human moment uncovered how Mike Lee, Erin Beatty, Clarabeth Concaret, and Laurent Francois fought the status quo to find their place, collectively encouraging the audience to create what they think is missing from the world.

🗓️ Last week, our colleagues Eric L., Álvaro López Souto and Ana Rodríguez, participated in the ZDZW project meeting celebrated in Trieste, Italy. 📌 ZDZW project is a #HorizonEurope initiative that develops digital non-destructive inspection (#NDI) services as a set of strategic technologies to improve production #efficiency, zero-defect, and #sustainable #manufacturing of European industries. This project, in which #aimenct participates, is facing its final phase, so the meeting focused on reviewing overall progress and setting the next steps to successfully deploy all our technologies at the End-users. 🙌 Thanks to all the partners for the productive discussions and to illycaffè for hosting the event and their very cared organization. ➕ https://lnkd.in/eijVEYcj #aimenresearch #techonologydevelopment #zerodefect #zerowaste #mechanicalengineering #rework #repair

Looking to build a team that excels at both innovation and execution? The key: Make it multidisciplinary. Some of my most rewarding experiences have come from working at Gold&Green with an incredible team of food scientists, product developers, designers, chefs, sales professionals, and legal experts. When expertise from different fields comes together, that’s where novel ideas emerge and true innovation happens. Just last Friday, we reunited with former colleagues—not for the usual end-of-week drinks—but to celebrate and taste samples of a newly launched plant-based protein that we had been developing together, with the patent filed back in 2018. It’s special to have been part of a team so united by our mission that we’re still excited to meet up for a tasting session, just like in the early days. I’m so grateful to have worked with such amazing experts Maija Itkonen, Zhongqing Jiang, Veera Lintola, Anna-Mia Myllykangas, JINGWEI LIU, Susanna Kuossari and Kati Laakso. And congratulations to the team at Valio for bringing this product to market! If you’re located in Finland and looking for a clean-label, plant-based protein for your meat-free days, Gold&Green® Mureat ja Mehevät Suikaleet is your delicious choice. In summary: 🔶 Want to solve complex problems and spark innovation? Build a cross-functional team. 🔶 Want to expand your expertise and grow? Join a team with diverse talent. #Sustainability #Innovation #MultidisciplinaryTeam

Learning on the go... I've never participated in an trade fair before last year, when I took part in the London Future Food Tech Event, IBA in Munich, and FIE in Frankfurt. Although I'm still new to the trade fair scene, I believe I've started to grasp the dynamics. The main objective is to raise awareness, but more importantly, to convince potential customers that upcycling is essential for the entire food industry. Initially, I thought this was the only storyline i should run with, but I've realized that you can't just attend a fair with a single sales pitch. It's crucial to be adaptable in the approaches you take with potential customers, quickly understanding what they're looking for. Some are in search of unique tastes, others prioritize sustainability and improving their ESG reports, while some seek nutritional enhancements, and there are those who want it all. This Sunday, I'll be at Foodexpo in Herning, ready to showcase the innovative work we're doing at Agrain by Circular Food Technology. I'm excited to share how #SpentGrainFlour is not just a part of groundbreaking innovation for the #Baking sector, but also crucial for shaping a sustainable future. Hope to see you there! #UpcyclingFood #FoodInnovation #SustainableFuture #BakingIndustry #FoodExpo2024
