Last week I had the opportunity to attend an Ignite Forward event on campus at Enterprise. The topic of the day was effective communication. We heard from several great speakers, including Jennifer Giancola, on professional communication, mastering the virtual presentation game, and the art of listening. I learned a lot- including what I look like when I give my elevator pitch (humbling)! Here are some golden nuggets that have been bouncing around my brain ever since:  👀 Credibility is about the perceiver. 😌 People generally like you more than you think. This is significant as our perception of our likeability contributes to how we carry ourselves- impacting our first impressions and overall presence. 🎯 Get better at audience-matching by asking yourself what that person or group values. 🌟 Becoming a more effective listener: pay attention to what excites the person you're speaking with and reflect it back to them. A seemingly simple, frequent question we all get asked - “Introduce yourself!” – that universally makes everyone, at every stage of their career, cringe a bit.
