We are seeing #GovTech as increasingly being used to explore and experiment with innovative digital solutions in collaboration with the private sector - especially important in the case of #AI to cover for the capacity gaps governments face as they try to be more AI ready. We hope this report will support #governments in putting in place the right building blocks and enablers to build effective collaborations with private sectors actors.

Going #govtech can accelerate #digital #innovation in #government and facilitate the update of #artificialintelligence in the public sector. Our new OECD - OCDE report on Enabling Digital Innovation in Government proposes a policy framework to harness the potential of #govtech ecosystems for better government policies and public services for all. Full report: https://lnkd.in/edRyqAdZ GovTech is a key enabler of digital government. As governments increasingly focus on how best to experiment with and adopt innovative digital solutions with private sector actors, #govtech ecosystems offer a mechanism to do so in a way that is agile, innovative, and cost-effective. This is especially important in the case of #AI to cover for the capacity gaps governments face as they try to be more AI-ready. Not only does this help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the public sector, but it can also foster the participation of start-ups and newer providers in the government market. Govtech reflects the need for collaborative governance in digital government and strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors to co-create innovative digital solutions. 2️⃣ 33 countries surveyed: ➡ 70% have already implemented digital strategies for collaboration with the govtech ecosystem. ➡ 55% are using #govtech to foster #innovation, experimentation, and collaboration. ➡ 42% are using govtech to facilitate the testing and adoption of technologies, such as #AI. However, there are varying levels of maturity in implementation. We hope this report will support #governments in putting in place the right building blocks and enablers to build effective collaborations with private sectors actors for maximum impact. Data and artificial intelligence are like a tree and its leaves. Today, it is essential to understand their importance to socio-economic growth. They contribute to and fuel informed decision-making. Moreover, Open Data is one of the major developments that will increase the availability of data and AI. Bono has described data and transparency as a driving force "to boost the fight against poverty" . The open government data movement embodies a paradigm shift that effectively reconceptualizes their relationship between governments and their citizens. So, Professor Soren is kind enough to share his thoughts on this catalyst aspect of economic growth and the four essential success factors for open data to have a long-term positive impact on sustainable development. #Data & #AI are everywhere in today’s #Digital Age. But what is the secret about Open Data? Why does the #open #free #fair access to #data have the potential to be a gamechanger for #development? 👉 https://lnkd.in/dRTPPegh & 👉https://lnkd.in/eMz3Jmqa ✅ Open Development towards a new #open & #inclusive development paradigm 👉 https://lnkd.in/dBN79GiS ✅ Realizing the Vision of Open #Government data: Opportunities, Challenges and Pitfalls👉https://lnkd.in/dRTPPegh It was a great pleasure to meet #Bono form #U2 several years ago, when he was leading jointly with Jamie Drummond the Global “Drop the Debt” The ONE Campaign But, did you know that Bono has called data and transparency the engine “to turbocharge the fight against poverty” 👉https://lnkd.in/dN3sEqRQ The Open Government Data movement embodies a paradigm shift that effectively re-conceptualizes their relationship between governments and its citizens. It is about providing a platform to enhance mutual accountability & trust among all stakeholders, including citizens, businesses, governments & international donors. Open Government Data have a postive impact by: 1. Promoting #transparency & #accountability of governments and development programs 2. Boosting local #economic development by enabling social innovations of developed by social entrepreneurs, researchers, #startups #civil society 3. Enhancing the #inclusiveness of development by promoting meaningful #citizen participation in political decision-making holding governments & donors accountable 4. Improving government #efficiency through the better sharing of data within government and with citizens and businesses 5. Providing a paradigm shift in terms of moving towards a more #collaborative #inclusive governance model, with an emphasis on the #codesign of development solutions between governments, citizens and businesses. Four critical success factors for open data to have a long-term positive impact on sustainable development 1) An innovative #enabling environment that fosters innovations by the private sector while protecting the citizen’s digital rights enforcing the highest possible #dataprotection & #privacy standards 2) National data #infrastructure and policies that promote the sharing of data based on open standards & enhanced interoperability between different data infrastructure 3) #Openness for #Innovation and #culturalchange- Openness and transparency are based on social norms & the willingness for engaging in an iterative process of organizational and institutional change 4) Enhanced #SocialAccountability #Trust, & #Civic Engagement #Opendata programs need to be embedded into an overall reform agenda, that aims to improve governance, increase social accountability strengthening civic engagement by all segments of society.

Claudio Zancan Yes, data is a valuable asset, like a treasure. In order to find the treasure, we need treasure map for treasure hunting. Similarly, we need metadata to find the data we want. Metadata is an enabler. It is like a treasure map for treasure hunting. Without metadata, like a treasure map, NO data can be found/retrieved, even by the most advanced technologies, like AI, high-end chips, supercomputers, etc. https://lnkd.in/g-aJFnXR Whatever data solution it may be, let's try a go/no-go test to see if it works. Is there any data tool that can answer the following questions of business intelligence? "Who, in the Ontario province of Canada, have new US patents granted on the nearest Tuesday (Eastern Time), when the USPTO releases the newly granted US patents on a weekly basis?" "Who, in the "江蘇" province of China, have new US patents granted on the nearest Tuesday (Eastern Time), when the USPTO releases the newly granted US patents on a weekly basis?" With our intellectual property (IP), a Chinese-English multilingual metadata, we can get the full list answers for the above questions. This is a fact. Do you or any of your contacts need our expertise/IP to do the data analysis that AI can't do?
