The Daayitwa Public Policy Fellows of 2024 and the Daayitwa team were privileged to observe a session at the Parliament House in Baneshwor, providing a unique opportunity to connect theory with practice. As an #InternationalRelations graduate who has attended The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) meetings and other conferences in Geneva, Switzerland, I found this experience profoundly different and deeply enriching. The Pratinidhi Sabha in Nepal provided a #localized, interactive view of governance, contrasting sharply with the formal, global focus of UNHRC meetings in Geneva. It offered insights into community-level policymaking and governance challenges, enriching my understanding of both international relations and local governance dynamics. The dynamic atmosphere and engaging discussions at the #PratinidhiSabha offered a vivid insight into Nepal's legislative process. This was an emotional and educational journey that enhanced our understanding of governance and policymaking. Our heartfelt thanks to Honourable Bidya Bhattarai for facilitating this visit. Dar e Insaniyat Pakistan held its inaugural Executive Board Meeting under the Tameer e No (تعمیرِ نو) initiative. This significant meeting brought together our Executive Board members and the newly appointed Central Cabinet. The agenda included a comprehensive review of our activities over the past five years, introductions of new teams, and critical discussions on organizational policies and procedures. We conducted a thorough review to enhance our organizational management and streamline our processes. The meeting concluded with an Oath Taking ceremony for the new Board Members and the selection of the Board Chair for the Executive Board. We are proud to announce that Mr. Israr Ul Haq Nasir has been appointed as the Board Chair through a formal voting procedure.
