I don’t think this is a knowledge bomb or contentious hand grenade BUT I still hear people outside of a given team asking about it so here we go. This isn’t jackanory STORY POINTS SHOULD NOT BE A MEASURE OF ANYTHING. Yes they can help with velocity and sure as hell help with estimation as a comparison tool. But these are tools to be used for and by the team. Nobody else. My team have smashed it when they complete 25 points and I know another team that consistently smash through 100+ points. Points are relative any one asking about your teams points or velocity outside of your team should be told where to go. Maybe not in the words you would like to use. Maybe just redirect the question with an answer about the VALUE you delivered. #agile #storypoints #velocity
