I've witnessed more than one company in my career who focused exclusively on scale and increasing market share as the holy grail. Sure. Fine. However, don't overlook extrapolating and modeling in "profit-market fit". Include the fine-tuning of long-term profits in addition to revenue growth (REDUCING variable costs and CONSTRAINING fixed costs) as critical piece of the analysis, or your efforts may be your undoing.
