Did your CT Tech tell you these fact ?? 1. Oral Contrast: Some CT scans require the use of contrast dye. If this is the case, you may need to drink 8 to 24 ounces of water or clear juice before the scan. Refrain from eating or drinking for a few hours before your scan. 2. Clothing : You may be asked to: Take off your clothing and wear a hospital gown. 3. Remove metal objects, such as belts, jewelry, dentures, and eyeglasses, which might interfere with image results. Are you a CT technologist ? If yes , we have some exciting career opportunities waiting for you. So look no further! Surgery with Apple Vision Pro Today 🔥 Many internet users were shocked by this news. The fact is that a Brazilian surgeon conducted an operation without removing his Vision Pro glasses. This was necessary to simultaneously perform the surgery, see the 3D model of the bones right in front of his eyes, and also view his notes, without being distracted by these things separately. As a result, the surgery was successful, and the surgeon himself noted that operating with the glasses was significantly more convenient. I can only speak positively about such a practice, especially since Apple has excellent graphics and an incredibly refined interface, so the chance of the surgeon losing consciousness during the procedure (according to many) is considerably low. Apple itself originally set goals for its device – simplification, optimization, and enhancement of work processes, and medicine is no exception. The fact that many surgeons are not afraid but are proactive and embracing new technology only shows their intelligence, resourcefulness, and fearlessness in the face of modern challenges! And I think the adoption of AR/VR technologies, although a rather lengthy process, will eventually become appealing to many, as once even smartphones seemed unusual and strange, but now they are essentials 🙂 #news #technology #innovation #work #medicine #doctor #selfdevelopment

I love my gadgets and you can imagine when Apple announced the #applevisionpro as an eye surgeon I had to have it. l can see the Apple Vision Pro, with its advanced features and capabilities, contribute significantly to physicians especially ophthalmologists. I see it helping surgical training which can include simulations of surgeries or procedures, providing a risk-free environment for students to practice and hone their skills. I also see it enhancing learning experiences with a hands-on learning approach that is more effective than traditional textbooks or diagrams. It’s an exciting time to be a surgeon and I’m always excited when I get to incorporate new technology into my practice. #ophthalmology #innovation #training #virtualreality #education

Elon Musk recently pronounced that the next Neuralink project will be a “Blindsight” cortical implant to restore vision: “Resolution will be low at first, like early Nintendo graphics, but ultimately may exceed normal human vision.” Unfortunately, this claim rests on the fallacy that neurons in the brain are like pixels on a screen. It’s not surprising that engineers often assume that “more pixels equals better vision.” After all, that is how monitors and phone screens work. In our newly published research, we created a computational model of human vision to simulate what sort of vision an extremely high-resolution cortical implant might provide. A movie of a cat with a resolution of 45,000 pixels is sharp and clear. A movie generated using a simplified version of a model of 45,000 cortical electrodes, each of which stimulates a single neuron, still has a recognizable cat but most of the details of the scene are lost. https://lnkd.in/gJGVR5Hr

Case study: resolving #EMI and PCB routing issues in a medical optical scanner Our PCB design engineers worked on a medical circuit board for a healthcare device: an advanced optical scanner for ophthalmology. The primary objective of this project was to integrate an optical scanner with a PCB to control the scanner's movement in the X, Y, and Z directions. This integration enables the capture of detailed eye images. --- Read the case study to learn how we resolved EMI and circuit board routing issues in this medtech device. #pcblayout #pcbdesign #medicalpcb
