Last week, OMG hosted the 4A's Foundation’s Equity & Inclusion Congress. This event brought together Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) leaders from across the industry to champion multiple dimensions of diversity and learn how we can drive business impact. The agenda included keynote speaker, Nathan Friedman of Understood.org, and Marta Martinez, Managing Director of Data & Analytics at Google, who shared groundbreaking work that is equipping DEI leaders with advanced solutions for the challenges ahead. Omnicom Leaders were present throughout the conference. We first heard from Adrianne C. Smith, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at FleishmanHillard and Founder of Cannes Can: Diversity Collective, about ways we can strengthen our advocacy for DEI in the face of an evolving legislative environment. Secondly, Emily K. Graham, Omnicom's Global Chief Equity & Impact Officer took the stage to discuss how our safe space discussions have been used as an engine to move policies at Omnicom and implement organizational change. In a final panel discussion, OMG's very own Chief DEI Officer, Sara Porritt, helped to close out the afternoon by sharing how DEI has opened the aperture for what’s possible, repositioning DEI as a discipline of joy and a necessary business imperative. Thank you to the 4A's Foundation for organizing this event for like-minded people who are advancing and advocating for DEI in the business, fueling organizations through curiosity and innovation. #BeOMG #4AsFoundation
