MENA dealmaking got off to a promising start in the first half of 2024, recording 321 M&A deals valued at US$49.2b. The insurance and real estate sectors were the most attractive to investors accounting for 47% of the total deal value. 🤝 KPMG merges with KPMG.. Although it sounds odd, we have seen such examples in the past.. The most recent one was also from KPMG: In May 2024, KPMG UK and Switzerland merged, creating a £3.4 billion professional services group. Due to the regulations, Big4 companies are separate legal entities. While some (e.g. EY) are more integrated across the "franchise network", others (e.g. PwC) act more independently. What applies to the other sectors as well: One plus one is equal to four, as long as you can deal with potential disputes by agreeing on governance.
