I agree with what this article says. It's an eye opening on the current cybersecurity landscape, especially the job market and the so called "entry level" roles that actually can't be entry level! Would you call a first time C level job an "entry" level? Interesting reading.

I found this great article from TechTarget that I wanted to share. See my review of the article 👇 -Cybersecurity positions at companies are going unfilled even when high paying. -sixty-six percent of cybersecurity experts admit to high burnout rate and difficulty in the workplace. -expectations of the employer for cybersecurity experts does not match what they are offering. Things I disagreed with: -the article mentions hiring internally for cybersecurity experts. That unfortunately does not solve the core problem. Let me explain. I have worked for both large enterprises and start ups internally and as third party vendor. I can tell you that there is no difference if the talent is in the company or if it is hired out. The underlying issue is that cybersecurity is an afterthought for most companies ESPECIALLY small to medium sized businesses. You can have the smartest expert in your company but makes no difference if what they try to implement falls on deaf ears. The burnout comes from that and I am speaking from my experience as well as others I have worked with in the past. The article has some great points but I feel the solution to the problem was missed a bit. Go ahead and read it and share your thoughts in the comments below. https://lnkd.in/ezxdZTwb

A notable shift in cybersecurity staffing: after a period of rapid hiring, the workforce may have peaked. Rather than simply adding new positions, companies are focusing on upskilling and optimizing existing talent to manage evolving threats effectively. This change is a response to cybersecurity becoming more embedded across operations, where the need now is for specialized, high-impact roles. https://lnkd.in/ejpSu7kg #Cybersecurity #WorkforceDevelopment #TechTrends
