🚀 Reflecting on the 21-Day Geek Streak Challenge 🚀 I recently completed the 21-Day POTD (Problem of the Day) Geek Streak Challenge powered by Deutsche Bank, and it has been a truly transformative experience! 💡 Here’s how this challenge helped me grow: Consistency is Key: Tackling daily coding problems sharpened my problem-solving skills and helped me stay disciplined. Maintaining a streak for 21 days taught me that consistency leads to exponential growth, both in coding and beyond. Improved Problem-Solving Abilities: Each day presented a new challenge that pushed me to think critically and find optimized solutions. Over time, I noticed a clear improvement in my approach to breaking down complex problems and implementing solutions more efficiently. Building a Community: The #geekstreak2024 hashtag connected me with like-minded individuals, sparking interesting discussions and opportunities to learn from others' perspectives. It’s amazing to be part of such a supportive and driven community! Confidence Boost: After completing this challenge, I feel more confident in my coding abilities and prepared to take on even more complex challenges in the future. A big thank you to Deutsche Bank and Geek Streak for organizing this challenge. The rewards go far beyond the physical prize—it’s about the personal and professional growth that comes with it. 💼✨ #geekstream2024 #GeekStreak2024 #DeutscheBank #POTD Deutsche Bank GeeksforGeeks

2/3 - The result for our team: we did not manage to present our solution, but we came out of the hackathon learning a ton of very valuable knowledge that will certainly be reusable. We did manage to create an integration between users using SMS (via Sinch) and an OpenAI-powered agent that was using functions to retrieve the necessary data for completing the chat conversation. We approached the hackathon as a learning experience, and I think that goal was 100% achieved. What I learned: There is a paradigm shift in how to think and develop cloud-native applications, and new tools are available to support developers. I learned a lot of new tools, starting with Cillers and Polytope for infrastructure as code. The Sinch Conversation API was extremely easy to use and understand. I improved by a little my Python Coding skills, explored Redpanda Data Connect—a declarative way to configure event streaming—and more. https://lnkd.in/dpG8-uRg
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at the Sinch and Cillers AI-Powered Communications Hackathon. It was incredible to witness all the creative solutions to the hackathon challenge: interacting with a scheduling system using natural language, both spoken and written, accessible through any communication channel, such as SMS, voice, email, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, etc. The system could understand and ask questions back, and pass on information. Based on the inputs, the system could, for example, call people to cover shifts due to sudden absences, rearrange shifts to accommodate more people, and reach out to workers who didn’t show up... 😅 Thanks to all the amazing developers from companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Ericsson, EY, Campusbokhandeln (they won!!), Knowit, Tietoevry, Swedbank, Hyper Island, Scania Group, Academia.edu, Neonode, Bryntum, H&M, Etteplan, Cisco and many more who truly gave their all! ❤️ A special thanks to our incredible jury: Caroline Wallin and Fanny Oldenmark at Coop, Eva Listi ♦️, former CIO at Ericsson, expert on digital transformation, Katarina Vuger at Max Burgers, Kristian Männik at Sinch, Lisa Mellor atVolvo Cars, Malin Wretman at Ica, Mikael Guss at ODA/Mathem, Niklas Wikman and Patrik Wiklund at Gröna Lund, Kolmården etc and Peter Grimbeck at Liseberg and Tobias Frohm at Espresso House and Petra Ehle at InfluencePeople! ⭐️ A huge shoutout to our tech partners who made this event possible: Couchbase, Redpanda Data, Kong Inc., Curity and Polytope! Really great to see both Joakim Karlsson and Ellie Parrott at the event. 💻 Massive thanks to Lotta Forså at Sinch, the driving force behind this magical event. 🚀🚀🚀 Last but not least, a big thanks to our fantastic volunteers Fredrik Paleman and Stine Dhea! 😍 And the best part? The fun never stops. We are gearing up to go again very soon.... Stay tuned! 🎉🚀⭐️😅
