AVIX Ergo Balance module, combining classic line balancing with ergonomic workload balancing . Ergonomics is designing a job to fit the worker so the work is safer and more efficient. Implementing ergonomic solutions can make employees more comfortable and increase productivity. Ergonomic Balancing is a concept developed with stakeholders from the academic world, the industry and the AVIX software team. Traditionally line balancing is focused on distributing the workload (assembly time) equally between the resources. At a later stage, if at all, the ergonomic strains for the humans is considered. It doesn’t have to be that way! Ergonomic balancing is a critical aspect of workplace safety and health. It involves the careful consideration of the human body’s capabilities and limitations, as well as the specific tasks that workers are required to perform. By designing products and workstations that are ergonomically balanced, organizations can reduce the risk of disorders, repetitive strain injuries, and other health problems that can result from prolonged or repetitive use of poorly designed equipment or workstations. Breathing Innovation 🌬️ We at SYNDIKAT7 are happy to share our recent collaboration with Maico Elektroapparate-Fabrik GmbH, resulting in the creation of PlanAir — a tool that significantly simplifies the planning and execution process in the ventilation industry! PlanAir goes beyond simple design. It automates the entire workflow, ensuring precision in calculations, comprehensive documentation, and seamless compliance, all while maintaining operational excellence. 💫 Have you ever wondered how projects like these are handled at SYNDIKAT7? Here’s a glimpse into our development journey: 1️⃣ Understanding Business Logic We began with a deep dive into the business and domain challenges. Using Design Thinking, we identified the core problems and brainstormed innovative solutions. This phase was crucial in aligning our vision with Maico's goals. 2️⃣ Eventstorming We used Eventstorming workshops to visualize the entire process and understand the events that drive the system. This collaborative technique allowed us to uncover insights and refine our approach to align with Maico's operational needs. 3️⃣ Creating a Click Prototype Based on our findings, we developed a click prototype, offering a tangible representation of the initial ideas. This prototype served as a foundation for iterative feedback and ensured alignment with Maico’s expectations. 4️⃣ Technical Conception With a clear vision in place, we moved to the technical phase, focusing on domain modeling and architecture design. This step was important in establishing a robust framework for PlanAir, ensuring scalability and reliability. 5️⃣ Agile Development Finally, we embarked on the development journey using agile methodologies. This approach allowed us to adapt to changes swiftly and continuously enhance PlanAir, delivering a tool that truly meets the needs of the industry. Challenge to Improve To maintain and work according Parker's culture of continuous improvements the Value Added Service Workshop decided to start up an improvement project that applies to one of our assembly stations. The challenge is to combine both the ergonomics and productivity to meet the needs of a good working environment for our assembling team and at the same time improve the productivity. To have all important facts and thoughts, we collaborated with Avonova - Sverige and Tpm-teknik which resulted in a project team together with our assemblers using all our combined knowledge and experience. Now, we are working with gathering information, data, point of views, and the next step will be to use all the information in a mini Kaizen event and implement the suggested improvements. #ParkerNordic
