Dealing with disengagement may feel like grasping the nettle – but the evidence suggests that it is in the best interest of employers to prioritise engagement in the workplace if they are to see growth and profitability. Did you know that only 23% of employees are actively engaged at work? Engagement isn't a trait of individual employees, but an experience shaped by organizations, managers, and team members. Let's work together to create a workplace where everyone feels motivated and fulfilled. https://alternativehr.com #AlternativeHR #HRConsulting #EmployeeEngagement #WorkplaceCulture #Teamwork

💼 How Engaged Are We at Work? 🤔 I've just finished reading the Gallup State of the Global Workplace Report, and the findings really made me pause. Here’s a snapshot of what’s happening in Europe and Ireland: 📊 Across Europe: Only 13% of employees are engaged at work 🙌 A massive 72% are not engaged 😐 And 16% are actively disengaged 😠 Europe ranks lowest globally for employee engagement—but interestingly, it also has the lowest percentage of employees actively seeking new roles! 📉 In Ireland: 10% (That's right, just 10%) of employees are engaged at work (a 1% drop from last year) 55% of respondents think it’s a good time to find a new job 💡 But only 33% are watching for or actively seeking a new role 👀 💡 Food for Thought: With just 10% engagement in Ireland, there’s a clear challenge for business leaders and HR professionals. What strategies can we adopt to improve workplace engagement and satisfaction? 🤝 No organisation can thrive when 90% of its workforce isn’t fully engaged. It's in everyone's interest to turn these numbers around. 📎 I've added a link to the full report in the comments. I'd love to hear your thoughts on boosting employee engagement! 💬 #EmployeeEngagement #WorkplaceCulture #Leadership #HR

The UK ranks 33rd out of 38 European countries on engagement. And I’m excited! 😁 Why would I be excited about a shocking stat like that? Because I think we’re at a pivotal moment. A new Government has stated that it intends to “unlock the full potential of UK employees.” Which to me feels like a huge opportunity for organisations to put some real focus into aligning what drives their business or organisation, with what drives the people within them. 🚀 There’s now plenty of evidence to prove that this stuff works and benefits everyone and the bottom line. 💷 Last night I chatted with my Engage for Success colleague Jo Moffatt on Engage afire Success Radio about the implications of all this for the employee engagement movement and how we’re looking to support the Government in this quest, including recruiting more volunteers to help. 🎙️ If you’re interested in getting involved check out engageforsuccess.org. I’m sure you can find something you’re interested in, or passionate about that can help further the message. 📢 If you’re a growing business and want to know more about how to build a great culture that keeps your talent, attracts new talent and delivers business success, please do drop me a line. I’d love to help. 🤝 #employeeengagement #growth #engageforsuccess
