The hotel industry cannot sell rooms ‘without housekeeping’! 😠😢 Just like the restaurateurs who put up signs on their front door or on the sidewalk to announce that they are looking for staff, the hotelier when selling rooms ‘without housekeeping’ is not shooting himself in one foot, but two! Attention! No one is fooled and especially not the customer! The hotel industry is certainly a profession that lacks manpower. But it cannot do anything despite its need to always renew itself. Could the explanation of the problem be in this word ‘manpower’? The job of chambermaid or valet is still not valued, and it’s the whole profession that suffers from it .

DIFFERENCE COMES FROM EXPERIENCE A representative of Hyatt Corporation once shared with me about how to make a difference from competitors when the "hardware" is almost equivalent between brand standards in the world (the restaurant, swimming pool, gym, spa, ...). The biggest difference mentioned is the people, and the ability to create different experiences based on the humanity of the service providers. Mr. Adrian Slater from Hyatt Corporation shared about how the corporation turns its employees into true "hosts". He explained that the difference in experience does not only come from the built-in amenities, but is mainly determined by the organization and service ability of each employee in the resort, in each different department. If Hyatt wants to bring a special cocktail experience to customers, they will invite the best bartender in the region to work, if they want customers to enjoy the best cup of coffee, they will invite the best barista to work, ... All the experiences brought to customers are done by people who have undergone hundreds of hours of training and that process does not stop during their work, and that what they do is the difference. In the field of branded residences in general and branded resort real estate in particular, sometimes we get too caught up in analyzing the tangible part of the product and forget the greatest value of a resort can bring to customers valuable living experiences that enrich their spiritual lives, create unforgettable memories and sublime emotions that conventional housing projects can can bring. So if you have the opportunity, tell your customers a lot of unique experiences and impressive memories, sometimes that will bring results beyond our expectations. Think a little differently!
