🏛️ Fun fact! My talk at R/Pharma 2024 was recorded at the Akademie der Künste (Art Academy of Berlin) right in front of the most famous Brandenburg Gate in the capital of Germany 🇩🇪 . 🚀 But if you want to learn about how we can Gear Industry Statisticians up for Success, just like the R Package phase1b, have a listen to this talk here : https://lnkd.in/eqqtXNQU and the accompanying Quarto rendered slide deck here : https://lnkd.in/eb8x47y7 Key takeaways include : 🌮 Good Software Engineering Practices take time, patience and a checklist ! 🌮 Positive Bias is a win-win situation when mentoring and collaborating 🌮 Roxytypes make for more robust process for ensuring input arguments satisfy not just accurate values, scales etc, but types as well e.g. numeric, flag etc 🌮 Starting with a Design Document and going slower are ways to be efficient! 🌮 Never forget that Good practices can change over time, have an open mind! 🎤 Big thanks to R/Pharma organising committee for posting the recordings of the R/Pharma 2024 Conference up! I'm impressed with the talks from the R in pharma 🌏 WORLD 🌎 #community 🎯 Eric Nantz Jared Woolfolk #checklist #softwareengineering #statistics #phase1b #Rinpharma #kindness #Rstats #community

❗❗RANT WARNING❗❗ - The reclamation of the site feasibility questionnaire process by clinical research sites through technology is ~in my opinion~ INEVITABLE and NECESSARY. Feasibility questionnaires (FQs) have become more complex as trials become more complex, but sites don't always have the resources to accurately answer the FQ, whether it be protocol-specific information or higher-level profile questions. Not to mention every FQ is a different format and asks the same 80% of questions. This was once described to me as "going to Thanksgiving dinner and your father asks what your name is" Soon - we'll have tools that let sites focus on the protocol-specific information by automating the easier questions like "do you have a -80°F freezer". In #AConvoWithBeau, Irena told me how she's seen the evolution of FQs from when she first got into clinical research and today. Irena created her own feasibility process and is quick to champion the voices of her peers. I'm excited I am able to champion her voice in this clip. I'm excited for the world where we can make sure sites/investigators are qualified but not burden them in the process. ~End rant~ #FeasibilityQuestionnairesSuck #SiteEnablement
