November is World Diabetes Month, a global initiative to raise awareness and educate people about diabetes. This year, we are proud to collaborate with Avenue Healthcare to spread awareness and provide our team members with free diabetes testing. Current statistics reveal that over 537 million adults worldwide are living with diabetes, a figure that is expected to rise significantly in the coming years. Alarmingly, approximately 50% of these individuals remain undiagnosed, which underscores the highlights the importance of early detection. Identifying diabetes early can lead to timely interventions, which are essential for effective management and preventing potential complications. Our team engaged in health screenings that not only assessed their current health status but also included informative discussions on diabetes prevention. These screenings provided a platform for team members to learn more about the risk factors associated with diabetes, the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and how to monitor their blood sugar levels. Have you been screened for diabetes? If not, now is the perfect time to take that important step for your health. Early detection is key, and it can make a significant difference in managing your well-being. #WorldDiabetesMonth #HealthAwareness #DiabetesTesting #TeamWellbeing
