From Humble Beginnings to Global Leaders: LUYTEN® Inspiring Journey in 3D Construction Printing
LUYTEN's story is one of passion, innovation, and unwavering determination. What began as a shared dream among university friends, driven by a desire to transform the construction industry, has blossomed into a global success story. We were frustrated by the outdated methods and lack of innovation that led to low-quality housing, and understood 3d printing is a revolutionary technology that could help residential, low cost housing, social housing, high end housing, civil, defence and space construction. Our vision was to revolutionize construction by integrating robotics, much like in other industries such as food manufacturing.
Our first steps were taken in a humble garage, where we tirelessly developed our first prototype and experimented with 3D printing mixtures. We started from a concept design, working prototype to an MVP then a series of commercial products that at TRL Level 9 and now selling globally. We faced challenges, working in cramped quarters during scorching summers, but our passion fueled our perseverance. Through early sales and projects, we gradually expanded, opening new manufacturing facilities and refining our technology.
Today, we proudly offer a diverse range of printers, serving a growing clientele and partnering with visionaries around the world. Our PLATYPUS series now includes: PLATYPUS Basic, PLATYPUS Expeditionary, PLATYPUS X2, PLATYPUS X4, PLATYPUS X4 Special Edition and the PLATYPUS X12. Our printers are a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence.
We've achieved remarkable milestones, including 3D printing the first house structure in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere's first double-storey 3D printed house.
We are the first Australian Robotics company to do this, and sell at such a wide international customer base.
With exciting projects and partnerships spanning South East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Americas and Oceania, LUYTEN is poised to shape the future of construction on a global scale. Stay tuned for more groundbreaking news as we continue our journey to revolutionize the built environment.
