You love your agency, but does your agency love you back? Do they sanction your leaves on no-questions-asked basis? Or do they remind you of all the work that's going to suffer? Do they ask you to take care when you inform them you're sick? Or do they make you feel guilty for informing at the last minute? Do they give you the room to make mistakes? Or is every little mistake followed by "you don't know advertising" and other such taunts and lectures? If they often do the latter, you are in a one-sided relationship. #India #advertising

The new phase of radio bidding under the **FM Radio Phase-III** policy in India is poised to transform the radio advertising industry: 1. **Expanded Reach**: The inclusion of 234 new cities in the radio network means advertisers can now reach a much broader audience, especially in previously underserved regions like Tier-II and Tier-III cities. 2. **Localized Advertising**: Advertisers can now run highly targeted local campaigns, speaking directly to regional audiences in their own languages and catering to their unique preferences, thereby increasing engagement and effectiveness. 3. **Cost-Effective Advertising**: With more radio stations in the market, competition could lead to better pricing options for advertisers. Radio remains a more affordable medium compared to TV and digital ads, making it a go-to platform for small and medium-sized businesses. 4. **Content and Employment Growth**: The introduction of new channels will generate a need for local content, from music to talk shows, as well as promotional slots for community-driven ads. This will also create job opportunities in media production, journalism, and advertising sectors. 5. **Strengthening Regional Connections**: With more stations broadcasting in regional languages, advertisers can better connect with local audiences, fostering brand loyalty through culturally relevant and language-specific advertising. This new phase will reshape radio advertising in India, emphasizing localized content, affordability, and broader reach. #Radio #advertising #local #Radioadvertising #fmstations #Ibroad7 #reach4india

Just when you thought boss/client approvals for ad creatives were tough... 🤣 Enter the Indian Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB)'s - Self-declaration certificate for advertisers. Okay, so in short now every advertiser or representative (agencies etc.) has to fill up a form (not a short one actually) to explain to the MIB each ad creative and ad purpose before it is released for the audience. And it applies to digital/internet-based ads, too!😱 In the case of print ads or TV ads, this may still be feasible since they are not frequently created/updated, but digital ads? I mean seriously? How do they plan to handle that? Plus, in the case of digital ads, platforms like Google, Meta, etc. have their own extensive verification process for advertisers and ads. They are already taking care of most (yes, there may be flaws). So why do we need another act to delay the creative process unnecessarily? Maybe we can, in a way, align the rules such that these platforms become more vigilant in their place and take care of this process for Indian advertisers. In an age when everyone is trying to make their processes and frameworks a bit smoother and eliminate bureaucracy more and more, we should think of acts that take us forward, not backward. Let's see how it spans out. #advertisers #India #act #selfdeclaration #advertising #ads

Potential Relief for Advertisers? Center Mulls Easing Self-Declaration Rules After Industry Meet The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) might be easing up on self-declaration requirements for advertisements, according to the Hindustan Times! This comes after a meeting with industry associations and digital advertising platforms like Google and Meta (Facebook). Previously, the Supreme Court mandated self-declarations for print, internet, and broadcast ads to ensure adherence to advertising standards for health and food products. What does this mean for advertisers? While the specifics are yet to be announced, a potential reduction in self-declaration requirements could streamline the advertising approval process. However, it's important to note that responsible advertising practices are still crucial. #India #Advertising #MIB #PolicyChanges #DigitalMarketing #Ads #Advertise #Policy
