The new normal for network cameras in the cloud era! Meraki MV enables speedy deployment and utilisation of video data Network cameras are installed in many retail and manufacturing businesses to provide physical security and to check the status of shops and factories. They will be used increasingly in the future to reduce manpower and unmanned operations. However, when it comes time to install a camera, there are many other things required in addition to the camera itself, such as an NVR/DVR and video management server, and a dedicated person may need to visit the site to set up and install the camera. This can be a big burden when deploying bases all over Japan and around the world. We have simplified the structure of such network cameras and introduced the 'Meraki MV' (smart camera), which can be quickly installed at many locations, in an easy-to-understand manga. https://lnkd.in/gsPfh_tP #ciscomeraki #merakimv #OneNTTData #nttcomdd #cisco

Nokia’s Fixed Networks division has a wide portfolio of products and solutions, but in one word, it’s all about broadband. Whether it’s connecting the unconnected, or building ultrafast broadband networks for homes and businesses to meet the growing demand for fast and reliable connectivity, able to handle bandwidth-hungry applications such as AI, gaming and cybersecurity. This week Fixed Networks, which is part of Nokia’s Network Infrastructure business group, launched three new products to improve broadband networks. Together, they deliver better performance, greater energy-efficiency and unlock new revenue streams for telco operators. We launched a new 25G PON (passive optical network) fiber modem to accelerate multi-gigabit broadband deployments. It delivers up to 20 times more bandwidth than current gigabit solutions with the same energy-efficiency. It is intended to help operators unlock additional revenue streams through new premium residential, business and mobile services. We launched the Corteca Developer Toolkit to make it easier for third-party developers to create, test, and launch new applications to enhance the home broadband experience. They could be applications to improve video conferencing, gaming, security, or an array of other areas. It means service providers can boost the value of their broadband offerings and generate new revenue streams. We also brought to market a new in-wall Optical Network Terminal (ONT) to provide reliable and secure gigabit broadband connections inside offices, hotels, hospitals, schools, and other enterprises. It is part of our Optical LAN (local area network) portfolio designed to meet the connectivity and sustainability needs of private and public sector organizations. And we were delighted to get another vote of confidence in our industry-leading broadband technology this week when Service Electric Cablevision chose our 25G PON fiber solution to build an ultrafast fiber broadband network in eastern Pennsylvania. Well done to the entire team for continuing to strengthen our technology leadership, improve broadband services for consumers and businesses and increase monetization possibilities for our customers. https://lnkd.in/dmmqq8-E https://lnkd.in/dkQejXe2 https://lnkd.in/dzPTcMRk https://lnkd.in/dsDjd7eR

Told in Their Own Words, Comms Connect 2024 Edition: SCL3 Broadband Hand-Portable Radio from Sepura Sepura is best known as a leading supplier of TETRA mobile and hand-held portable devices. But the company's recent progress on the 3GPP Mission Critical Push-to-Talk (MC-PTT) front has made it the top-of-class option for early movers to MC-PTT services. Building on the success of its mobile SCU3 platform, Sepura launched the sector's most compelling hand-held portable with the SCL3 Broadband Hand-Portable Radio at Critical Communications World 2024. At Comms Connect 2024 in Melbourne, Australia, Sepura demonstrated the highlights of this new hybrid LTE and TETRA terminal. The SCL3 chassis is an LTE Android device with physical knobs and switches that match those found on traditional TETRA portable units. A remote speaker microphone connection provides sturdy attachment to stock Sepura TETRA audio accessories. This compatibility means existing Sepura customers can transition to the hybrid terminal without purchasing new accessories. Two notable characteristics of the device are its hardenend design that is comparable to traditional hand-held public safety terminals. The result is much more than a ruggedized smartphone thanks to the hefty form factor, physical controls, emergency button, and secure screwed accessory attachment. Secondly, the battery hot-swap enables on-the-fly replacement of power without forcing the end user to endure the Android power-up. Finally, the tough Gorilla Glass screen provides ample real estate for Android applications. As agencies in TETRA-centric markets deploy situational awareness applications such as Team Awareness Kit (TAK), the Sepura SCL3 will provide a solid geospatial application platform for users in the field. As we come to the end of 2024, these factors position the Sepura portfolio as the leading hybrid TETRA and 3GPP MCX offer on the market. A minor gap in the offer is the lack of conformance test certification showing full compliance with the 3GPP MCX standard. However, the activation of the Global Certification Forum (GCF) conformance test process has also lagged, with the first tests starting in June 2024. Hopefully, Sepura will secure certification early in 2025. Thanks to Sepura's Chris Cant for taking time during a busy Comms Connect week to show off this outstanding addition to the company's portfolio.
