Thank you, The New York Times for shedding light on the need for menopause-friendly workplaces. Women are a driving force in the economy, and supporting them through menopause isn’t just about their health—it’s about the success of society as a whole. Menopause symptoms like hot flashes, sleep disturbances, and mood changes can deeply impact productivity and quality of life. That’s why we’re advocating for workplaces to implement policies that make this transition smoother, such as flexible scheduling, breathable uniforms, and health care plans that cover menopause treatments. When we support women in the workplace, we empower the entire workforce. #LetsTalkMenopause #MenopauseAtWork #SupportWomen #WomensHealth #InclusiveWorkplaces

Did you know? According to a recent CIPD (The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) survey of over 2,000 employed women aged 40 to 60 in the UK, a staggering 73% have experienced symptoms related to menopause transition. Among these, psychological symptoms like mood disturbances, anxiety, depression, memory loss, panic attacks, loss of confidence, and reduced concentration are reported by two-thirds (67%) of respondents. However, workplace support can make a significant difference. Surprisingly, only a quarter of those surveyed indicate that their organisation has a menopause policy or other support systems in place. Written policies and support networks are the most prevalent forms of support, but flexible working arrangements and the ability to control workplace temperature are deemed most helpful in managing menopause symptoms. Here's an eye-opener: Employers are losing approximately 1 in 6 employees due to a lack of support for menopause-related issues. Don't let your organisation fall behind. Set the trend for creating a more inclusive and accommodating workplace environment.
