Imagine booking a movie ticket and ordering popcorn and drinks through the same app! That could be possibility as Zomato just acquired Paytm’s Entertainment ticketing business Paytm Insider for a whopping Rs 2,048 Crore! After their record smashing Blinkit acquisition, only time will tell if Zomato can pull off another masterpiece. Zomato has nearly completed the entire customer cycle with this move : - You can buy food and drinks via Blinkit. - Get them delivered to a PVR or any event ticket via Blinkit. - Book PVR or any event tickets on Zomato. The only thing missing now is cab service within the same app that can take you to and from the venue. Zomato would then be building an ecosystem where a user doesn't really have to migrate to other apps for other necessities like food and last-mile delivery #paytm #zomato #blinkit #acquisition

This means that Zomato is now not just for #food delivery, but also for all things "going out," like #movies, plays, and concerts. It's a smart move because it gives Zomato access to Paytm's huge user base of 300 million people. which is much bigger than Zomato's own 30 million users. Additionally, he said there is an opportunity to add other services besides ‘dining out’ in the ‘going-out’ business. Additional use cases for customers in the going- out space include, movies, sports ticketing, live performances, shopping, staycations among others, Goyal said, adding that the company has already launched some of these and is working on the others. 🔗 To read more in detail, click here: https://lnkd.in/g8_aapyH #news #zomato #business #customers

Zomato just grabbed Paytm’s entertainment ticketing business for a cool ₹2,048 Crore—cha-ching! 💰 Looks like Zomato is all set to become the ultimate go-to for everything "going out" and "eating out" 😜 This move is pure genius. Here’s why: 1. Market Expansion: Zomato just got access to Paytm’s massive 300 million user base—way beyond its current 30 million+ users. That’s like Zomato on steroids! 💪 2. Seamless User Experience: Imagine this: you’re booking a movie ticket and, boom, you can order your popcorn and drinks from the same app. Talk about a movie night done right! 🍿🎬 3. Revenue Stream Diversification: Now, Zomato isn’t just about food delivery. With ticketing, they’re cashing in on a whole new revenue stream. They’re already handling 2 lakh orders a day with a Gross Order Value (GOV) of ₹263.1 billion in FY23. Now they’re taking things up a notch! 🚀 But hold up—this isn’t all smooth sailing. They’ll go head-to-head with BookMyShow, the big dog with a 78% market share. Zomato will need to pull out all the stops, get creative, and maybe even offer killer deals to beat them. 🎟️ So, the big question: Can Zomato turn this into a win, especially with Paytm’s recent struggles? 🤔 After nailing it with Blinkit, can Zomato score another knockout? Stay tuned—we’ll find out soon enough! What do you think of this bold move? #paytm #bookmyshow #zomato
