Such an important consideration for trial design. Sure, the traditional RCT has the advantage of a high level of control, but this same level of control limits applicability to the real-world setting. Each plays an important role in investigating and applying evidence-based nutrition, and together, they form a powerful team.

There is a big shortfall between the amount of food we produce today and the amount needed to feed everyone in 2050. With an anticipated population of nearly 11 billion people by then, approximately 3 billion more individuals than in 2024 (www.population.io), the demand for food will substantially surpass our current output. #innovation #food-production
