Are we actually heading towards a world where our skies are full of flying cars? It's been a staple of science fiction for as long as we can remember, but it's getting harder to shrug it off as a gimmick. As VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) technology improves and high voltage batteries get more powerful and efficient, we're only seeing more EV concepts get realised. Earlier this year, the BBC reported the government wants "flying taxis" to take off by 2026. Though these are more focused on travelling by air than by road, the lightweight 4-5 person vehicles might pave the way to making vehicles like the ASKA A5 a more common sight in our skies, and perhaps on our roads too. #FlyingCars #LowCarbonTransport #AerialVehicles #VTOL #ConceptCars
