An inexpensive EV would have significantly increased Tesla’s total addressable market by dramatically undercutting the average sales price in the U.S., which is currently at around $47,000. It also would have given the company a product to hold its ground against a predicted onslaught of inexpensive Chinese EVs. https://lnkd.in/eM-9SdQZ

The Supercharger network is the only global DC fast-charging network and, arguably, one of Tesla’s top contributions to electrification. It is, more often than not, the most extensive and reliable charging network available to EV drivers, especially in North America. As we have recently been reporting, the Supercharger network’s deployment has slowed this year despite usage skyrocketing as Tesla increasingly welcomes more non-Tesla EVs on the network.

Tesla owners can expect even faster charging next year! Tesla finally launched its much-awaited V4 Supercharger cabinets, enabling 500 kW charging for cars and 1.2 MW for its Semi trucks. Tesla actually started installing the V4 stalls (which have the plugs) last year, but they were using their V3 cabinets (the big electronic box that powers the stalls) to power them which meant the dispensed power was still 250 kW. The V4 cabinets have finally started going into permitting now and will open next year. It also comes with CCS connectors so that the non-Tesla EVs don't have to bring their own adapters. The 1.2 MW charging for trucks is probably the maximum capacity and would not dispense that power immediately because the Megawatt Charging Standards hasn't been adopted yet. Until then, it would probably just charge at 500 kW. #Tesla #Supercharger #EVs #charging

https://lnkd.in/gz6MecyJ Tesla suddenly cuts Supercharger pricing – Europe(UK &Ireland) Tesla's Supercharger network has lowered subscription prices Tesla has long been ahead of the competition when it comes to its Superchargers charging network. And while availability may be more taxing now that more Tesla vehicles (and other EVs) are on the road, here's something to sweeten the Supercharger deal: Tesla is reducing monthly subscription costs and introducing an even more cost-effective all-new annual subscription. The monthly Supercharger membership fee drops from £10.99 a month to £8.99 a month. If you prefer to pay annually then the new option is available at £90 for the year, saving 16% over the monthly equivalent (so two months per year for free, approximately). #evehicles #evadoption #bev #ev #evcharging #evcharginginfrastructure #evcharger #chargingstations #charginginfrastructure #batteryenergystorage #batteryelectric #batteries #battery #evbattery #evbatteries #batterystorage #renewableenergy

Tesla dominates charging experience and it’s not even close, new study says A new study by JD Power shows that Tesla still dominates the electric vehicle charging experience, and it’s not even close. Tesla’s early approach to the charging experience was built as a service to EV owners rather than a way to make money off of them. This enabled Tesla to focus on making the experience https://lnkd.in/gVQkVBVy
