Yay! My team MaybeACat just won the QRISE 2024's Infleqtion Challenge. It was a great time with Shivani M., Tulsi Chaudhari, Prince Asare, and Ganisetti Gunadham. Congratulations to you! QRISE 2024 was a Quantum Research & Industry Skills Challenge, organized by Quantum Coalition, and sponsored by Unitary Fund, IBM, Microsoft, QuEra Computing Inc., Infleqtion, and Classiq Technologies. During QRISE 2024, we tried to implement Variational Quantum Eigensolvers algorithm to create more precise Atomic Clocks, based on the results of the paper "Optimal metrology with programmable quantum sensors" published earlier in Nature. We also dived deep on the pros of VQE made Atomic Clocks, future possibilities, and specifically the use of Fault Tolerance Systems. This was so far my first competition in Quantum Computing. 1wVery informative.. The rate of improvement for the basic building blocks underpinning them appears to be slowing down, though. OpenAI’s next model, Orion, shows fewer improvements than the leap from GPT-3 to GPT-4. The company is focusing on refining models after initial training to overcome data limitations and cost challenges. OpenAI and other companies are shifting from pure scaling to new approaches, such as reasoning models and AI agents capable of handling multistep tasks. It's clear that the future of AI will look very different than what we’ve seen in the past few years.
