❓ How did I build my reputation as a content writer? ➡️ Because I put myself in the shoes of a business that requires my services. 🎯 Too many writers get carried away with "quality" statements. Sure, quality is a must-have, but you don't expect the car salesman to pitch that the new car in the store has tires and a steering wheel, right? ⏱ Yes, "quality" is considered part of the deal, which is not negotiable. What matters the most is dependability. People want to know that writers are capable of doing tasks when needed, not when they have the time. 📈 If I were a business owner and needed 200K words for a new website, I would hire people who can deliver good quality in a timely manner. "Ultra-high" quality won't make a difference, but slow publishing speeds WILL affect the bottom line. 📕 Moral of the story: Think like the person who wants to hire you. -- #contentwriter #contentwriting #b2b

Client 1 tells me they hate writer A. Client 2 tells me they prefer writer A. Client 1 tells me they love writer B. Client 2 tells me they hate writer B. That's the beauty of having a team of more than one person to turn to. At some point, one of your clients isn't going to like a writer's style. What then? What if a client you have tells you to stop using that writer? What if you only have one writer? I've seen agencies lose clients because they only have one internal writer. I used to BE that one internal writer with an agency. When a client wasn't pleased with my work (it happens to all of us at some point), what then? I adjusted, but there have been a few that just don't like my style. With Blue Seven Content, we know that client preferences can be weird. We try to work with each agency and/or their clients to pinpoint the issues. We can also swap writers to see if we can find a better fit. It's all about communication. It's about building trust. And, in the long run, working with an outside team can be cheaper than having an in-house writer or writing team (because you're going to need more than one internal writer due to the issues mentioned above, and you need someone with writing/editing experience in the niche to oversee quality issues). Just some things to consider.

"What's Your Rate?" A Common Question for Writers. As a writer, one of the most frequent—and sometimes challenging—questions we face is, “What do you charge?” 💡 Setting the right rate isn’t just about picking a number. It’s about understanding the value you bring, the industry, and the specific needs of the client. Writing a tagline, a blog post, or a full-blown content strategy each requires different levels of creativity, research, and time, so the pricing reflects that. When someone asks about your writing rate: 1. Ask Questions First: Understand the scope, complexity, and goals of the project. This helps you tailor your rate and offer clarity on what the client can expect. 2. Explain Value, Not Just Time: Writing isn’t just about putting words on a page; it’s about delivering a message that resonates and brings results. Let your potential clients see the ROI of well-crafted words. 3. Be Transparent and Confident: Whether you're a freelancer or part of a larger team, confidence in your rate comes from knowing the work you produce is impactful. And if you're on the other side, looking to hire a writer, remember that rates vary for many reasons. Don’t hesitate to ask about the value you’ll receive along with the rate. 🔗 Let's keep the conversation open. What’s been your experience with setting writing rates or hiring a writer?
