Very interesting article from Sergio Rinland (F1 car design legend) in RACE TECH Magazine, about Andretti Global's bid to join the Formula One grid. Sergio's write up looks at the comments made by Formula One Management to which he then gives his thoughts in reply. I personally see Andretti joining F1 as a massive plus, given we now have 3 races across the US. Surely with the push to drive interest in the sport, having an American team is a no brainer? What are your thoughts on this decision? Should F1 open its doors to new teams like Andretti? #Formula1 #AndrettiAutosport #Racing #Motorsport #F1 #F1News

When I consider all the drivers who come and go through Formula 1, it seems like such a waste. These drivers reach the pinnacle of motorsport or come close to it, and then there's little for them to do. They almost disappear from the scene, moving on to other series like WEC or Indycar. What if there was a better way for these top drivers to continue competing under the F1 banner? What if there was a secondary series for contenders? #F1 #F2 #Formula1 https://lnkd.in/gHm_nqzx

Do you believe "reversed grid" racing could truly make F1 more thrilling? It's a hot topic among fans. Here’s what F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali thinks: Reversing the grid might add more action and surprises. Picture this: top drivers starting from the back, fighting their way through the field. → What is a reversed grid? The fastest cars start at the back, and the slowest at the front. → Why consider it? It could create more overtaking and memorable moments. Everyone would need to battle harder for points. It would mix up the usual race order. → Concerns? Some say it makes races less authentic. But Domenicali suggests it's about maintaining excitement and unpredictability. Right now, sprint races spice up some Saturdays, and further changes could enhance the spectacle. Imagine a weekend where every session has serious competitive stakes. While not easy to perfect, it highlights F1's commitment to keeping fans thrilled and engaged. Do you think a grid shake-up is a good idea? Share your thoughts!
