🤓 Behind every iconic consumer company, there is an insanely powerful purpose-built software. More than 8 years ago, Uber made this popular science video about "bits and atoms" and gave the blueprint for next-gen consumer companies and marketplaces. The learning for the next-gen founders was not to build "Uber for X" for different goods and services - but to "run the atoms with the bits" in every industry (while, of course, NVIDIA runs bits with atoms 😃 ). We founded Dobby in the home services industry as an outsider. And we were blown away by the high process variance of this industry (how many ways things can go wrong compared to a low process variance industry like, dog walking services). One of the outcomes of "running atoms with the bits" is that it reduces process variance and dramatically improves user experience (like, parallel parking with Tesla's FSD vs. parallel parking by a mere mortal). So - we built Gryffindor, a vertically designed software to standardize and automate home services workflows end to end, from service recommendation to budgeting to pro booking to job completion to payment & review. 😍 And the result is Dobby's +80 NPS UX, in an industry with -24 NPS.
